This book accurately portrays what it takes to survive the real struggle of a marriage. When because you are married to your best friend you want to protect them by not telling everything that you should tell them. It realistically display the results of your decisions to not tell your partner and how that could threaten a good marriage. I love the subplots to this movie also and how it portray every day issues of interracial dating. A very accurate depiction of how college campus life of students of Virginia Union University is like. Also a very accurate description of life in Richmond, VA. This book is so worth reading. I enjoyed it tremendously.
