When missing actor and tortured dissident Cade Walton appears on Dr. Drew Clemmons’ ward, the tormented physician spirits both to another universe where liberty seems an elusive notion. New relationships emerge, but the fallout of short and long-term persecutions hinders the men’s adjustments, leaving their partners uncertain if the past can be left behind.

I write because I have no choice. I publish independently because I can.Noveling is a book in itself; several years and many manuscripts led to my first indie release, 2011′s The War On Emily Dickinson. I write about love, mercy, and equality, among other subjects. I'm also a prolific blogger, usually quipping about the work, but sometimes my husband and children, music and houseplants, hummingbirds, sport, a basset hound, and beaches muscle their way into an entry. Well, one beach in particular, The Hook in Capitola, California.A California native, I started taking fiction seriously in November 2006 when my eldest daughter mentioned NaNoWriMo. We lived in the Britain then, moving back to California in the spring of 2007. I spend an inordinate amount of time with my butt in a chair, focusing on stories I want to leave for my grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Right now there’s only a grand-basset to consider, but one of these days, my descendants can peruse all I've sent into cyberspace. In the meantime, you can too. And thanks for supporting an independent author.
