Meet the Author

Mark Horton (born 1950) is a British author, journalist and expert on bridge, as well as a former lawyer and chess champion. He has been the editor of Bridge Magazine since 1995. The magazine was founded in 1926 and is the world's oldest bridge magazine, and it is now distributed through Chess & Bridge in the UK. He currently lives in Bath with his wife Liz.

Brian Senior (formerly Editor of International Popular Bridge Monthly) is a successful international player and bridge journalist. He is the author of several books, a regular contributor to bridge magazines around the world, and publisher of the annual book of the World Bridge Championships.

Omar Sharif
Although better known as a film actor, Omar Sharif has played bridge at the highest levels, including two World Championships. ‘Acting is my business,’ — he says, ‘but bridge is my passion’.
