For Namesake, a Travel Book - Places in America Inspired by Famous World Cities
Away from the interstates, along the two lane highways of America, cities, towns and villages from our countrys past await discovery. Some lie on famous highways; Route 66, the Lincoln Highway, Our National Road, the Yellowstone Trail, while others lie on local roads that seldom see outsiders. All of these places have a story to tell and things to see and do.

Come visit a collection of these places named for famous cities of the world. Discover their history, how they got their name, famous people who lived there and why you might want to visit that locality. Even if you cant go in person, you can always visit them from a comfortable armchair, armed with your favorite beverage and a map in hand. Either way you are sure to be entertained, learn some interesting history and increase your knowledge about what there is to see and do along the back roads of America.

For Namesake, is a book to appease and delight the travel and history spirits that live in us all. Its for anyone who travels or loves to read about traveling. As a bonus, imagine the envy in your friends eyes when you tell them that you spent the weekend planning a trip to London or that you just got back from Paris. You dont have to tell them London is in Kentucky or that Paris lies in the woods of east Texas. You can reveal the secret to them later by giving them their own copy of For Namesake.
