This work of fiction "For the Love of Money" begins a new phase of my life. After retiring I was looking for something meaningful to do. Since I had been writing non- fiction for over forty years, writing seemed to be the thing for me to do.
However, I wanted something different. So, I turned to fiction and to tell you the truth, I never had as much fun in my life as I did writing "For the Love of Money." I have completed a second book which explores the work of the Dover Detective Agency that opened for business at the end of "For the Love of Money."
The best day of my life was April 8th 1974 when I married the former Pauline A. Thomas. After being married to Pauline (Polly) for 37 years, we have five children, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Family has always been important to me and you can see that coming through in the book.
I graduated from Jonesboro High School, Jonesboro, AR: Received a Bachelor of Arts in History and Religion from Arkansas College in Batesville, AR: And received a Master of Divinity from Memphis Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN.
In my first career, I served as a United Methodist Minister for 44 years. During that time I was lucky enough to develop many good and faithful friends which I shall always cherish.
