Meet the Author

This work of fiction, “For the Love of Susan” is the second book of a planned trilogy.
After retiring I was looking for something meaningful to do. Since I had been writing non- fiction for over forty years, writing seemed to be the thing for me to do. However, I wanted something different. So, I turned to fiction and to tell you the truth, I have never had as much fun in my life.
The best day of my life was March 8th 1974 when I married the former Pauline A. Thomas. After being married to Pauline (Polly) for 37 years, together we have five children, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
I graduated from Jonesboro High School, Jonesboro, AR: Received a Bachelor of Arts in History and Religion from Arkansas College in Batesville, AR: And received a Master of Divinity from Memphis Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN.

I served as a United Methodist Minister for 44 years. During that time I was lucky enough to develop many good and faithful friends which I shall always cherish.

Very Good Mystery - Download it today

    J. Maxwell West does it again. Anyone who has a chance to read this book will not be sorry. The mystery will keep you turning pages. Easy to read. I liked the way the author connected this book to his first book, "For the Love of Money".
