Meet the Author

Valerie is originally from the beautiful state of Maine, where she lived until she was ten. Being young when she lived there she never appreciated the absolute beauty of the rocky coastline. Although she never live in Camden, she did have a very dear cousin that lived there and they would spend many hours in downtown Camden. When she decided to write For the Sake of Amelia she tried to imagine a great setting for the book. she thought of many places in Connecticut (where she reside now) but kept going back to her childhood and the many fond memories she held in her mind of Camden.

    Awesome

    This is such a good book. I normally do not stray away from the novels of my favorite authors, but Valerie is a facebook friend of mine and i saw her advertising her new novels. I decided to start reading Tormented. Im so glad i did. It was so hard to put down my nook. I highly recommend this book to avid readers everywhere. You wont be disappointed. Time to start the second novel in the series "Inhibition" Cant wait to see what is in store for Amelia and Kyle.

    For The Sake of Amelia - Tormented

    From the very first chapter of her book, Valerie Bowen invites you into Amelia's world. Through her passion for her characters and their story she takes you on a journey with Amelia; a journey of twists and turns, torment and vengeance, courage and love. I'm grateful she's let me witness her own journey as a writer. For me, Valerie made her characters come alive and inhabit the tumultuous world she's created.

    Great Story

    What a great story it was so hard to stop reading. With each page it felt as if I was living the story through Amelia's eyes sitting on the edge of my seat not knowing what was going to happen next for her. It's suspenseful, very well written, great story line, just one of those books that you can't stop reading till you're finished. Can't wait for book 2 so I can continue reading what happens next for Amelia.

    tormented

    gripping book that will leave you guessing at every turn! i highly recommend it to readers of all genre!!! this author brings her characters to life and makes you feel as if you were right there with them!!! first book in a series-keep your eyes open for the other books, because you will always be wondering what comes next!!! hard to believe this is a first time author.....she writes like a seasoned pro!!! you will not be disappointed!!!!
