Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Having recently completed her nursing training, Eden Derrington has one goal: to care for the leprosy patients isolated on the island of Molokai. Her grandfather, however, believes that Eden should follow the more traditional paths taken by women in the mid-1800s. A devout Christian, Eden continues to pursue her calling, causing some conflict within her family. Her attraction to Rafe Easton, a man her grandfather does not approve of, adds to her difficulties. First in a new series from the prolific Chaikin (e.g., Island Bride, Harvest House, 1999), this title combines her usual elements of an exotic setting and intriguing mystery, with interesting historical lessons on both leprosy and Hawaiia. Her growing number of fans should find this a more than satisfactory read. Copyright 1999 Cahners Business Information.

I really enjoyed reading this novel. The author successfully combined Hawaiian history and romance from a Christian perspective. This will make you want to visit Hawaii even more!
