    The seventh Love at Stake urban fantasy romance is fast-paced and filled with plenty of action

    Manhattan nightclub owner Vanda Barkowski is forty-five minutes late for her appearance at the East Coast Regional Coven Meeting in White Plains that she was served a summons to appear. Also there is an irate Corky Courrant, hostess of the Digital Vampire Network's show Live with the Undead; Corky warns Vanda it is not over as she has not forgotten the assault. East Coast Coven Master Roman Draganesti informs Vanda she is to attend anger management training for her attack on vamp performer Max the Mega Member with a stiletto as well as two other fired employees.----------

    Phil Jones agrees to mentor Vanda while she undergoes the classes. He knows she is his soulmate, but hides his attraction because he knows she loathes werewolves and he is a wolf shapeshifter. Vanda objects to the class insisting she has no problem and to Phil as her sponsor. She is attracted to this "mortal". Meanwhile the Malcontents continue their rebellion making Vanda a top target; even more than most Romatech employees. Phil vows to keep the love of his life safe.-----

    The seventh Love at Stake urban fantasy romance is fast-paced and filled with plenty of action, but belongs to the biting wit of the heroine. The story line is fun to follow though fans of the series will recognize the theme's similarity to previous tales (see SECRET LIFE OF A VAMPIRE). Still with a sharp tongue lead like Vanda and an alpha like Phil nipping at each other, the audience will have bloody grand time.--------------

    Loved It!!!

    Kerrelyn Sparks does it again! I've read the entire Love at Stake series and not one of them have let me down. Once again Kerrelyn writes about the main characters (Phil and Vanda) and their story while keeping you in touch with past characters as well and what is going on with them.

    Couldn't put this one down...keep them coming Kerrelyn!!!

    Highly Recommended

    I LOVE this whole series and was so glad to finally read Vanda's story. She is like most of us a strong woman wanting a strong man but does not want to give up her sense of self in the process. Phil is perfect for her! If you do not read this whole series you are missing out on something great. Kerrelyn is a wonderful writer who gets you involved in each character and you always want more. Nice and spicy but not over the top.

    Who knew vanda was such a sweetheart. Phil is my first werewolf crush in a vap world. Very cute book and fast read.

    Love the series--this one's a bit cheesy though

    I love the Love at Stake series, but this one is a bit cheesy. The dialogue (especially Phil's) is pretty bad. I've liked the banter in the other books and was excited to read Vanda's story. It seems like Sparks was in a hurry to crank this book out and let the conversaton suffer.

    Fabulous!

    It was sexy and heartwarming! You had Vanda's spicy and hot attitude and Phil's strong, witty, and sexy appeal makes for one explosive story. I do believe this one is my favorite and I have read out of order. Definitely enjoyed this series!

    Way better than the previous books.

    I absolutely love Vanda and Phil. The chemistry between them is just sizzling. They've been in this series since the beginning and it's good to see their relationship develop. Plenty of funny parts in this one.

    Funny!!

    Once again the Love at Stake series has touched on the funny side of romance. A vampier, shape shifter and a priest walk in to a bar... just kidding. Vanda, one of Roman's ex-harem girls, finds herself fighting her past and present with Phil, one of the MacKay security guards. Vanda set on being an independent, self sufficient person ends up with one man trying to kill her and another trying to love her. As the walls of her life come tumbling down she is faced with deciding between over comming her fears or running from them again. The offbeat banter between the main characters left me laughing out loud. This book is good for anyone who needs a pick me up.

    Would read the full series...

    A great read for a rainy day. This is a series and this is the first book that I read of the series but I felt like I didn't have to. It was good to be able to jump right into it and know all the characters and what's going on. I will definitely read others in the series.
