"What gives you a thrill Kristen?"

The minute I saw Vincent Sorenson, I knew he was trouble. Billionaire. Bad boy. And dangerously sexy. He was everything I craved, and nothing I needed.

Unfortunately, I couldn't just avoid him. The higher ups at my company decided they needed his business, and I was on the team to bring him in. Vincent Sorenson didn't seem as interested in business as he was in me, but I knew that was a door better left unopened. If I got involved with him, it would only unearth the pain I spent years trying to bury.

I thought I had it under control, but I seriously underestimated Vincent's seductive charm and silver-tongue. I would soon find out how delicious it would feel to let myself fall into this forbidden surrender.

It was good but I still love the Crossfife Series best. Love me some Gideon.

Unless you want to buy 4 books at 2.99 apiece to get one story, don't bother. This author is NOT Sylvia Day or E.L. James.

Kristen is a play by the rules, focus on the path in front of you, take no detours kind of girl. When she meets with adrenaline junkie, bad boy billionaire Vincent Sorenson the sparks are there, but she will do whatever she can to keep her distance and avoid the distraction and heartbreak that could come from Vincent. The first book in this series, Forbidden Surrender, did start off a bit slow for me. Kristen is at times uptight and refuses to let loose which at times left me frustrated with her character. Vincent is WOW, the perfect character for a sexy billionaire. Their personalities are on opposite sides of the spectrum, but they even each other out and made the story more interesting. Vincent brings out the feistiness in Kristen and at the same time is patient with her hesitations of stepping outside of her comfort zone. I really felt this book was a great start to the series.

Financial analyst Kristen Daley loves her job. She gets to work with high profile clients and overall, she's happy with her life. On a business trip with her boss to South Africa she meets billionaire Vincent Sorenson and the mutual attraction is evident for both. Surfer turned billionaire, Vincent has no shortage of getting what he wants. And now that he's set his eyes on Kristen, he will not give up on having her in his bed. I really don't know what to think of this story other than it was just okay. The characters are flat and rather boring. The story isn't long enough to actually get into anything other than girl meets boy, they go on date, sex happens. There's some drama at the end that just seems forced and doesn't do anything for me. It's all very typical and honestly one of the same billionaire tropes I've seen from many other books that have been written much better. The story ends very abruptly and there's really nothing there to make me want more.

3.5 stars: :  FORBIDDEN SURRENDER is the first storyline in Priscilla West's contemporary, new adult romance Surrender series focusing on client acquisition manager Kristen Daley and billionaire Vincent Sorenson.  The storyline follows Kristen as she becomes the lead financial manager for Vincent's investments and his leading woman in life and love. We are introduced to Kristen's roommate and friend Riley who knows how to have a good time; and Richard-Kristen's senior and the man who was hoping for the big raise and commission offered to Kristen for acquiring Vincent Sorenson's account.  But not everything in Kristen's life is running as smoothly as her current love life and business success.  Someone is looking for Kristen and that has put the fear of a previous relationship assault -front and centre. The relationship between Kristen and Vincent is slow to build as they are first introduced  in South Africa but become quick friends and lovers once Kristen has returned to the United States.  The attraction between our leading couple is immediate; and their actions in the bedroom are both sensual and hot. The world building of the rich and uber rich flies the globe and the character development is limited as the storyline focuses more of the premise and plot outline. If you are a fan of the new adult storyline with a sexy billionaire who stops at nothing to get what he wants, then FORBIDDEN SURRENDER is a welcome read. Grab a copy and enjoy the ride.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Vincent and Kristen are just right for each other.  Even though Vincent is a billionaire and use to  getting his way, he is gentle and caring with Kristen.  Kristen likes Vincent and need to open up around. him.  When Marty shows up  unexpectedly she freaks a little  but Vincent isn't going to let anything happen to her.

Vincent, extremely similar to actual billionaire Nick Woodman. The author really could not make up a another reason for why Vincent became rich?!

This book was in a word: boring. None of the characters stood out and the storyline was utterly predictable. I will not spend 2.99 per book to continue the series, nor will this one be on my "recommend" list.

The Surrender series consist of three books. When one ends, the story line picks up at that same place in the next book. The reading is smooth and the story progresses naturally but there's not much that gets your heart pumping or makes you fan yourself. It's a pleasant read and the author writes the story in a way that MAKES you want to pick up the next one. Who doesn't want to read more about a gorgeous, funny, smart and sexy surfer/business man. Interesting story line that looks to get even more interesting in the next book. I'm definitely looking forward to more of Kristen and Vincent in Secret Surrender. Received a copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed is my own.

OK read Characters are just alright. The book is not as intense or passionate and you do not get to know the characters as personal as I like but ok for a short free read.

I found this book entertaining, erotic, funny and exciting. I loved the two main characters Kristen and Vincent. Kristen is strong, independent and unsure of her choices is men so therefore, has stayed away from getting into a relationship and focused on her work. Vincent is strong, caring, and a self made millionaire who is instantly drawn to Kristen. This book is wonderfully detailed and will draw you in. I really enjoyed the story and it has some characteristics to other romance novels but it is definately unique. I could not put it down once I started reading it. I look forward to reading the other books in this series to see how the couple progresses.

Four stars for the simple fact that a 300 page novel is being sold in three installments at $2.99 each....Yes, that amounts to $9.00 for a short novel, but she pulled me in. I like her style and I found this "book" to be a quick, fun, romance ror a snowy weekend. I have also read the other book (again, two installments) on Jax and Riley and even though alot of it was silly (rock band getting a start and traveling the country in a "3" level tour bus......) I found that to be an entertaining read also. I would recommend these books, knowing that they are, as most romances go, just alot of fantasy - but fun! (Why are some reviews alluding to this as being another "50 shades of gray"? There are no similiarities at all.....)

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** This is the first book in a trilogy about Kristen, a personal finance manager, and Vincent, a millionaire she meets while her company tries to make a contract with him. After her boss blunders their initial presentation with Vincent, Kristen is able to impress him with the work she's done, not to mention accidentally grabbing his nipple when she stumbles. The combination makes her something Vincent decides he has to have. In the beginning, Kristen sticks to her guns about not mixing business with pleasure and tries to keep Vincent at arms length. I really liked that about her. However, very shortly after, out of fear of her ex, she runs right to Vincent and into his bed. Still, I did like how this first part flowed and it encouraged me to read part two in the trilogy.
