the previous review of warning against this story; however, it was an excellent story though very upsettingly raw and horrifying! How do I describe it? There are two main characters Mia Roberts and Ellis Hughes. Ellis can be described as master, torturer, taker of one’s humanity, depraved, delusional, insane, bastard, sadistic, maniac, monster, madman. Mia can be described as innocent, foolish, unsuspecting, shy, submissive, deferential, entrapped, abducted, prisoner, terrorized, brainwashed, tortured, starved, emaciated, marked, bruised. Need I say more? An awful tale told extremely well—beware; if any of these descriptions abhor you, don’t read. I gave 5 stars because it told a story well and drew out many emotions from me—the ending was heart palpitating and freightening but with a satisfying/great ending. Enjoy if you dare! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Warning! This is not a light romance where the hero sweeps the woman up in his arms and they ride off into the sunset.
In fact there is no hero in the story only a scum of the earth villain. After accepting a job as a personal assistant to a wealthy billionaire Mia finds herself trapped and subject to the sick and violent fantasies of Ellis Hughes. Over the course of several months Ellis strips away all that Mia was and turns her into a brainwashed sex slave as he continues to rape, beat her and make her suffer humiliating acts of degradation. He treats her little better than an animal and enjoys making her suffer intolerable pain as she is used for his sadistic pleasure. I thought the book would have gone in a totally different direction from the description that was given and I feel I wasted money on this one. I ONLY reason I was able to finish the book was the fact that it had to get better at some point but it was a long time waiting. Near the end Mia saves herself and finds a safe haven but what she endured made me sick. This shouldn't have been published in the first place, it doesn't belong in Erotica category and it sure doesn't fit with romance. My advice stay away from this book and don't waste your money. It had such potential and then just bottomed out.
