There are 286 Nook pages. Besides several formatting errors by the ePub, the promise of an exciting book falls flat and does not get up.
If you are a person who does not mind every little detail being explained to you in a story you may like it. I prefer conversation, a story unfolding, and action. Read the first chapter of this book before buying it. Take it for a test drive to see how it fits. If you like it, but it. If you don't, well, it does not get any better later on.
The enticement of the book reads 'What would happen when a bomber from the nearby Air Force base is flung by a fierce tornado into the county’s largest shopping mall? ' brings vision of ... well, World Trade Center excitement. It was not until page 273 (out of 286 Nook pages) that the tornado flung the plane at the mall.
The first 272 pages did nothing more than describe the town and mall and the people. The book just did not ring true to life. For example, the mall was a new and the largest in the SW corner of the USA, yet ... it had only one employee entrance. The author told us facts, but failed to s how us a story. The characters are two dimensional and as hard I tried I could not find anything in any of them to care about.
