About the Author

Michael Paris received an undergraduate degree in photography from Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California, and then began work as a photographer at Petersen Publishing Company in Los Angeles, providing photography for Motor Trend, Hot Rod, Motorcyclist and Car Craft magazines before moving to Argus Publishers as an automotive magazine editor. My love of cars kept me in the world of automotive journalism and in 1985 I joined Ford Motor Company as a public relations manager. While at Ford I worked in various areas of media relations, crisis communications and publishing and began working on my Masters in Journalism at Ohio University in 1991, receiving my degree in 1994.
