Preface: A Note to Students
PART I. WRITING TO READ
Posted January 30, 2004
I was so glad to see this book still available - in an updated version. I used this book for a Rhetoric class my very first semester at the University of Iowa. This book combines some of the greatest authors around, from Annie Dillard to E.B. White to N. Scott Momaday and many others, and each piece of writing gives you reason to pause and think about the state of our environment. It was my favorite textbook. I still bring it out and re-read it, even though I graduated five years ago. I can honestly say there are maybe two other college texts I still re-read: for reference only. This book I read for my own enjoyment. Thank you, M.B., for choosing this book as the required text. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
