    SUPERB BOOK!

Well, I loved Hidden Passages: Tales to Honor the Crones so much that I snatched up the second of SpiderHawk's books, Forest Song: Finding Home. Well, I loved it so much that I HAD to have Forest Song: Little Mother. And am I ever glad I got it! Again SpiderHawk had me from word one. Her plot twists and turns kept me guessing (and reading) so I could find out what would happen next. I just LOVE this book and cannot wait until the next of the Forest Song series comes out! I sure hope SpiderHawk writes fast, because her books are positively addictive! Oh yes, if you haven't had the SpiderHawk experience, you MUST get started! Her books are just amazing!

    EXCELLENT BOOK!

This is truly a magnificent book. I thought Hidden Passages: Tales to Honor the Crones was good, but this one is even better (if that's possible). SpiderHawk introduces us to Judy, who is at once charming and willful and shows how Judy finds her true home in the forest. There she learns of the Nazi threat to come and she works with her teacher and others in the forest to help the Jews as well as the poor and the sick. In the process our young heroine grows into her womanhood. This is the first in the Forest Song series, and it is a wonderful start. I couldn't wait to get the second book of the series! You MUST read this book! You'll never forget these characters!

If you haven't had the SpiderHawk experience, you MUST start!

In this second volume of the Forest Song series, Judy is now a part of the Forest she lives in. She has grown into her powers, is a great deal wiser and seen more than her share of the nastiness of the world outside the Woods. She has seen what can happen to those outside and is determined to do what she can to help others. Her friends help and together they make a difference!

A wonderful tale continues and as with the first book...I could not put it down. In some ways, I think this one was harder in fact! A delightful story of a girl coming into her own as a young woman. Of dedication and determination. A story of pain, grief and love! You will not be disappointed in the wonderful writing of Vila. It is as if she is sitting there with you telling the story.

You will cry and laugh out loud, while reading of the adventures and trials Judy goes through. She finds love and sees much of the outside world she wishes she hadn't, but in the end she learns a great deal and helps many people along the way, while in many ways...they also help her! You see her grow and learn so much more than she ever expected. And her mother is proud of the woman she has become!

You will not be able to put it down!

What a wonderful story of a little girl determined to get what she feels is right. With an old soul that knows where it belongs, Judy finds a way to get what she knows in her heart is where she belongs! She goes through heartache and trials, but in the end she learns a great deal about life, herself, and those around her as well as the cruel world in which she was raised.

The woods are far more secure than her mother tries to tell her, and Judy falls in love with the creatures of the forest. She is finally at home! You will find the story easy to relate to and hard to put down. A delightful tale, well written and pulls you in with every page. Read all three in the series and you will not be sorry!

    3rd book, just as great

A wonderful third book in the story of Judy. A young girl who escaped life behind a huge, ugly fence her parents put up to keep her in. They were determined to tame the "wild child" and keep her safe from the terrible woods, which she now calls home. Judy made her great escape and has grown into a great woman, and Witch, who watches over all the creatures and living things in the wilderness near her parents homestead. She has helped Jews escape the wrath of the Nazi's and works along side her friends to do as much as they can to help anyone needing to escape the horrible persecution of Hitler and his army.

Judy has had to come to terms with her own brother being in that army, yet she hangs on to hope he is not as evil as they are all made out to be. She clings to the boy she knew as a child, who cared for her and sneaked her food late at night when her father sent her to bed with no supper for being too strong willed. Her mother is helping the underground and is very proud of the "Wise Woman" Judy has become and of her compassion for those around her.

A heart warming story that will keep you turning pages well into the late night hours! And a bit of a surprise ending, that is both sad and heartwarming at the same time. This one is told a bit differently from the first two books and it still draws you in while adding a few new characters to the mix! You will fall in love all over again with Judy and her charm
