Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal
Gr 3-6-Johansson draws readers into a discussion of each biome by introducing a scientist who works in that particular area. The rest of each book focuses on the relationships among the plants and animals found in the environment. Diagrams further clarify the concepts of food web and energy flow as they exist in the area under discussion. Well-placed photographs relate to the text without fragmenting the presentation. The lists of additional resources will aid young researchers. Although report writers will be the titles' primary audience, the presentations are interesting enough to hold the attention of those exploring the topics out of personal interest.-Kathy Piehl, Minnesota State University, Mankato Copyright 2004 Reed Business Information.
