I loved the characters Charles and Diane. Charles, attractive, intelligent and wealthy. Diane, beautiful, intelligent, and success story in itself. So many of our African American little girls born into single homes are victims of their mother's lack of self. Here Diane against all odds rises above her pass and gets the love of her life.
At 262 pages, this book has so little character development, suspense and tension that I found myself skipping over pages about half way through the book. The romantic leading man was emontional stunted and irrationally jealous. The female lead was emotional unavailable and weak. They had no chemistry and by the end ofthe book I didn't care about either of them! There just wasn't enough of a "story" in this book.
