Meet the Author

E. L. Todd was raised in California where she attended California State University, Stanislaus and received her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, then continued onto her master’s degree in education. While science is interesting and a hobby, her passion is writing. After writing novels as a small child, her craft grew until she found the confidence to show her closest friends—which is how Only For You, the first installment of the Forever and Always series, and the Soul Saga series began. When she isn’t reading or writing, she is listening to indie rock music. Her current favorite artist is Mumford and Sons, whom she credits most of her inspiration for her novels. She also enjoys running and swimming, as well as working as a high school teacher. She also works as an assistant editor at Final-Edits.com. She has an unusual obsession with dogs, even though she doesn’t own one, and her favorite vacation spot is Disneyland, which she visits several times a year. The most important aspect of her life is her friends, whom contributed so much time and energy into all of her novels. According to E. L. Todd, “Without them, Only For You and Soul Catcher never would have come to fruition. I am theirs forever.”

Scar, Sean, Ryan and Courtland are back and great as ever! I'm usually not as impressed by the sequel to a book as the first in the series, but that's not the case here. Again, I was blown away by the originality of Todd's writing. The plot had me on my toes the entire time and I kept thinking I had it all figured out; and I so didn't!

I have to say here I was so excited when I saw the return of the fallen hot dog conversation!! I thought that was hilarious in book one and I was literally tickled it was included here. In fact, Todd referenced a lot of small, cute things from the first book, which I loved! These small details really help to connect you with the characters again, no matter if you just finished book one or if you've suffered in agony waiting for it! I think it's important for authors to remember the tiny, fairly insignificant points like these, and Todd does a great job in that.

Again, all the characters were awesome and my only qualm is wanting more! Especially of Ryan and Courtland, I LOVE those guys! I saw there will be a third book, and this one wasn't a cliffy like the first, so I'm hoping I'll get my fix of the two dudes.

All in all this was another fantastic read for me. I'll admit that the pace at the beginning of the first chapter frustrated me, just because I thought Scar was a bit quick to forgive and forget, but when the events of the book all come to fruition it just made me love her more and respect her for giving Sean such a chance with her whole heart.

I am hooked on E.L. Todd and will continue to read her work. I'm so glad she gave up the day job to follow her heart and write because we get to reap the benefits of her mind! I can't wait for book 3!!!

An ARC was provided to me in exchange for an honest review. I hope you enjoy as much as I did!

I really love the story but will not continue series for $5 a book with only 159 pages. It is not worth it!!! It would end up being a very expensive series!!!!

The story is great, but the lack of editing gets really annoying towards the end of the book.

I just loved this roller coaster of emotions E.L. Todd made me suffer through. There was almost more angst in this one than I could handle.  After reading the blurb about a pregnant Penelope, I couldn't get to this book fast enough.  She is my least favorite character in the Forever and Always series, well besides Carl that is.

Sean and Scarlet kiss and make up, now Scarlet has to decide whether or not she is going to stay with Ryan or go back to New York with her new boyfriend.  Sean has his job back home and Scarlet has her new life with Ryan and Cortland, she's happier and stronger than she has been in a long time.  They do the long distance relationship thing, however neither one likes how that is working out.  Luckily for Sean good ol' Penelope makes his decision for him.

Through out this book we get a stronger Scarlet, one that is sick of being second choice to Sean and even to Cortland.  She wants to be somebody's first choice for once and is waiting for that special guy to come along.  I just wasn't too sure what to think of Cortland this time around, I really thought his girlfriend Monique was fake and he was waiting for Scarlet to get over Sean already.  He just seemed way to good to be true in the way he treats Scarlet and the things he did for her.

Scarlet is working her tail off to support herself and Ryan, while the school loans still loom over her head.  This girl can't seem to catch a break in life and love.  I just wanted Cortland to swoop in and take care of her, make her feel first for once. My vote was always for him actually.

Boy the angst is at an all time high in this second book with the Scarlet, Sean and Penelope saga.  I wanted to strangle Sean throughout the middle of the book.  He needed to wake up and smell the lying coffee Penelope was serving him.  He sounded like such a smart guy in book one, but was really, really dumb in book two.

In this sequel we also get a better feel for Ryan and the love he has for his sister.  I liked how these two would do anything for each other.  Ryan as well as Cortland are still front and center in Scarlet's life helping her with these tough life decisions.  There is only so many times a girl can be knocked down.

The book is well written and a great conclusion to the first one, full of love, loss and a little bit of closure for Scarlet and even Janice. There is a book three and I can't wait to see if it is Ryan or Cortland's, I really loved these characters.

"Forever and Always" picks up right where "Only for You" ended. Sean and Scarlet have finally decided to make a relationship between the two of them work but they now face the obstacle of a long distance relationship. To make matters worse, Sean's ex, Penelope, shows up with some shocking news and he takes her back. Scarlet refuses to believe that he is doing what is in the best interest of his future and tries to make him admit that he never got over Penelope.

The second installment in the series has several reappearances of characters from book 1 and I have to admit that I was thrilled with it. There was so much more drama in this book and I just completely fell right into and just couldn't put the book down. I absolutely love Scarlet's character but seriously she was a total b***** in this book at times. I get why she was because she was trying to protect her heart but there were times that I just wanted to jump into the book and slap her. Sean made several mistakes that made me think about doing the exact same thing to him also. Ryan finally found a love interest and I was so thrilled with that. Ryan has been taking care of his sister and it's nice to see that there is someone who is there for him.

E.L. Todd has done a great job with this series. It is a very well written and captivating series filled with romance and drama. I love the fact that we don't have to wait several months between the books. The characters are well developed and the drama between them is believable. She has seriously gotten me hooked on this series and I can't wait for more books in this one.

    Get ready for it!!

Forever & Always by E. L. Todd, was giving to me to review.

I can say I have thoroughly enjoyed this series so far, 2nd book. This book is the second of three.

I love love love Scarlet. She is such a nice Character with wit and sass about her and sex appeal and the ability to stand up for her self. So loyal and a good friend too. you just want things to work out for her. I love Sean too but at times you want to give him a bit of a wee shake, and say ''Wise up Sean''

No spoilers in this review by the way.

But for those who have read the first book know it doesn't go too well for Scarlet or Sean. This book picks off right where the other one ended.

After Scarlet goes to Seattle and starts to fix her life. Her past strolls back into her life.

Not with out its bumps in the road. Just when things for her and Sean seem to going okay they hit a bump in the road. first off Scarlet needs to figure out to stay in Seattle and keep living with her Brother (Ryan) who is such a great older Brother to her. She is helping him out, and doesn't want to leave him. So its her time to decide to up and go back to her old life, which she ran from. But that part of her life would involve Sean. She loves him with everything she has. And just wants him to feel the same for her. Scarlet feels she deserves it, and she does.

But when Sean hits a hurdle involving his ex Penelope, he bends at it and Scarlet is left once again let down by Sean. Scarlet also starts to rebuild her relationship with her old best friend.

    Can they fix their relationship?

    I give this book a 4.5 stars.

An amazing book. I think I enjoyed the wit in this book, the most. I love Cortland in this book also. I think I was routing at times for him to work out with Scarlet more than Sean after what he done on her.

Another Sassy read another page turner.

E.L. Todd is an amazing writer and her fans will not be disappointed with this book. I just love her books, I was completely engrossed in the first book and then this one. Just pick it up and read it!! No disappointments at all with this.

Now can we have the next one sooner rather than later please! ha ha, no all good things will come from these books.

...''Lucky you are such a hot piece of ass''...
