Overview

Molly, a forty-something single mom, tangles with the wrong guy and gets a hell of a hickey. That blotch is really a demon's mark, and she'll have to face the three things that scare her most to get rid of it. First, Molly loses her job and then she has a near-sex experience with her philandering, not-quite-ex-husband. Worst of all, she has to sit by a hospital bed, wondering if her son is ever going to wake up.

The Powers That Be assign Cass to help her. He's an angel who's trying to earn a seat in the celestial choir by helping out a human in need. Vanquishing the demon would be his ticket up, but only if he plays by the rules. He'll never earn his wings if he loses his heart to the lovely Molly. But she has even bigger things to worry about. She stands to lose her soul.

Hard-working, single mom, Molly, did not deserve this! Stepping out of her stressful life just once to enjoy the advances of a handsome stranger, Molly finds herself in a world hurt, dangerously suspended between heaven and hell, literally. How can she get through this? Who on earth can possibly help her through the minefield that her life has become? Perhaps it is exactly no one on earth, but a delinquent angel, Cass, who will come to her rescue. But is he any more ‘real’ than the jerk who brought her to this pass in the first place? Trust is a commodity she can ill afford to rely upon – she has learned that lesson in spades. This book is certainly different, and imaginative, even fun, and well worth the read. Well done.  I purchased this book online and have given this review freely and without monetary compensation.

This book has oodles of charm. With a warm, identifiable heroine, a sexy but sinister demon, a too-gorgeous-to-get-his-wings angel, not to mention a strong cast of secondary characters, it's a real treat. Oh, and I forgot the vampire.  I love a good paranormal and I certainly enjoyed this one. I'm betting you will too. Don't miss out.   I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

FORVER AND EVER, AMEN, by author Liv Rancourt, is a yummy treat of a paranormal romance. She takes the classic guardian angel trope and gives it a fresh new twist with the addition of a cool new world of spirit dwellers and one badass demon lord. With a strong, proactive heroine, a totally sexy, conflicted hero and plenty of well-rounded, interesting secondary characters, FOREVER AND EVER, AMEN is a must read for anyone who loves paranormal romance, angels and Happily Ever Afters. ***I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Liv Rancourt's Forever and Ever, Amen is a warm, sweet, paranormal tale of challenges, triumphs and love. She mixes an angel with a Texas drawl into the life of an everyday single working mom. Her characters are diverse and believable. I enjoyed Rancourt's way with words. "Did everyone get enough pasta? she said, sound a bit too much Mrs. Brady for her own taste." Her casual metaphors made me laugh and her thoughtful ones warmed my heart. "Built an exoskeleton around her heart..." -R.T. Wolfe

Forever and Ever, Amen has one of the most unique guy/girl plot twists I've ever read in a romance which made for an enticing, magical and very fun read. The dark edge provided just the right touch to keep me wondering and with a cast of wonderfully written characters and just the right dose of humor along with some captivating themes, I appreciated the story as both paranormal and contemporary about realistic people with creatively supernatural problems. What a kick this book was to read! I received an ARC and no stipend for this happily given review.

How much did I love Ms. Rancourt's paranormal novel? Let me count the ways... Forever and Ever, Amen is an enchanting tale, not only because it's beautifully written, but because it is original and imaginative, not formulaic or predictable in the least. From the first page, Ms. Rancourt's narrative and dialog were so engaging, I was pulled straight into Molly's world, so much so I could almost believe I was one of her friends. I was THERE. Her plotting and pacing were superb. I found myself turning the pages as fast as I could; the suspense of Molly's three trials kept me reading at a fast clip - and ignoring my own world. I highly recommend this novel to anyone who loves a great story. Five stars all the way! Review by Deborah O'Neill Cordes.

It is about time!  For what?  That I found a book that not only had a heroine around my age, but was also one I could relate to.  Yay!!  You have a fortish year old Molly with two teenagers, one of whom is dating a vampire, a not so great ex, a job that is horrible and then you add a demon to the mix.  That is a bit more than even a super mom can deal with.  Have no fear, Cass is there to help her through.  Seriously, this is a such a sweet romance and while demons wanting to get your soul is not light and fluffy, this is far from a dark tale.  I loved seeing Cass and Molly connect and really enjoyed reading Molly's interactions with her children.  If you are looking for a sweet paranormal romance this may be just the read for you.

Sweet paranormal romance. Tender and wonderful Three trials. Three chances for Molly Spencer to save her soul or lose it and suffer eternal damnation. A shocking consequence after a brief happy hour with her best friend, Samantha. Unfortunately, like everything else in her life, Molly has to fight this battle alone. Well, she does get a little help from the sexy guardian angel assigned to her case, Cassian O’Grady. Molly has reconciled herself to a job she endures to provide a life for herself and two teenage children. Returning to her cheating ex-husband isn’t an option and making ends meet doesn’t give her the time to consider her own dreams. Molly presents as a sympathetic character with normal everyday problems and struggles. Loyal, friendly, and clever, she is someone easy to relate to as a good friend, loving mother, and a woman in control of her life. An illusion perhaps. One she holds until Lord Zepar targets her soul. Now only her wits, her angel, and painful introspection have a chance of keeping her safe and sane. FOREVER AND EVER, AMEN, Amen is a fast-paced paranormal story with a sweet romantic backdrop. I won’t go into plot details in order to leave the mystery a fun one for readers. However, nothing is quite what it seems with details woven seamlessly into this story. The addition of a vampire boyfriend for Molly’s daughter was a surprise in the mix of the eternal angel and demon struggle for souls, but it adds a parallel plotline that is entertaining and echoes the theme of the story. Every character adds conflict and layers to the tale. The sign of a skilled storyteller. What I liked: The characters, the pace, the mythos, and the resolution for Molly. I loved Cass. I loved hating Zepar and Molly’s ex-husband. I enjoyed that everything isn’t wrapped with a neat bow at the end, but there is resolution for everyone. What I didn’t like: That it wasn’t longer. Don’t misunderstand me, this was a wonderful read. I just didn’t want it to end. My assessment: Fantasy: Well developed with just enough taste of demons and angelic host to tantalize the senses. Great characters: Molly is a wonderful mix of the girl-next-door all grown up with real adult problems and a warm generous heart. Cass makes us all yearn for a guardian to help us through our tough times and we struggle with his choices as well. In the end, I was glad to see that Molly wasn’t the only one to get what she desperately needed! Plot: Solid with all the main character’s issues addressed Editing: Clean Romance (level = sweet): Satisfying and nicely developed What I liked: The characters, the pace, the mythos, and the resolution for Molly. I loved Cass. I loved hating Zepar and Molly’s ex-husband. I enjoyed that everything isn’t wrapped with a neat bow at the end, but there is resolution for everyone.
