This is it.

My revenge.

I can taste it on my tongue, it's sweet and it's addictive.

I've worked way too hard to settle for second best and I will come out on top.

Seth Marc is back and training harder than ever before to redeem his loss to Don Russell. Tensions are high but stakes are higher as MMAC founder, Matt Somers, forces Seth and Don to train under the same roof.

Though Matt Somers believes it's only good fun to provoke the two for publicity, he doesn't realize just how serious the situation is.

With Olivia by his side, Seth Marc pushes himself to his limits and struggles to keep opponent, Don Russell, out of his head as they fight it out one last time.

Meet the Author

Skyla Madi was born in the small town of Port Maquarie, New South Wales in 1993. She spent half her life growing up in Wauchope, a thriving rural town at the heart of the Hastings River Valley before making the leap to the busy city of Brisbane.

Whenever this young Australian writer isn't changing diapers, watching cartoons, cooking for her husband or doing other motherly-wife things she is actively working on her writing and improving her writing skills.

Skyla loves to read just as much as she loves to write and since discovering that YA/NA/paranormal romance/urban fantasy are her favourite genres, she has embarked on her own writing journey and is currently contracted with Limitless Publishing.

I ran the gambit of emotions while reading the conclusion to their story. I went from happy, swoony, and in love to mad and sad. Yes, even tears were shed on my end. Apparently it was just a me thing since Trish did not have this same reaction. Honestly, I was just hurt and really ticked off at Skyla Madi. But by the time the end of the book came around I was back in my Seth bliss.

That's the thing about Skyla Madi's writing, it stirs up all kinds of emotions and forces you to feel them. Whenever I read something by Skyla I get nervous. She isn't afraid to put her characters (and readers) through hell to get the story out there. I love that and hate it at the same time because it makes me a big ball of anxiety. Just when you think, "Oh, no she wouldn't do that to us, it will all end up ok" Skyla goes and pulls the rug out from under your feet and leaves you a big ball of teary mess. She's done it to me twice now, I speak from experience.

Plus don't even get me started on the fight scenes this woman can write. I read some dark stuff, I have no problem getting through some intense scenes, but there is just something about the way Skyla writes a fight scene, I often find I can't actually read them. The scenes are so intense and make you feel like you are right there, and like I said you never know where those scenes are actually going to end up. Skyla will take her fighters to the brink with no regrets. Sometimes I'll find myself just skimming the fight scenes to see who ends up on top because I can't handle the suspense of it all.

If you've read my last two reviews of Consumed and Too Consumed you'll know that Olivia is not always my favorite heroine. In the past I've found her to be selfish and immature, but I thought she grew up quite a bit in this story.

I was so happy while reading once I saw we were going to get Seth's point of view in this story as well as Olivia's. You know I love Seth, but Seth broke my heart for a while in this story. I can admit it. I cried. A lot. It was like a big chunk of my heart was ripped out. Then he makes it even worse by other actions. I was so disappointed in Seth the only thing I could do was cry. I can't talk any more about it because I'll end up giving a spoiler.
In the end, I'll say I may have slightly over reacted a small amount (if I have to think about it rationally... I guess). I love Seth and sometimes he's an ass. That's what makes him the Seth we love.

So Seth was able to redeem himself for me and I left the story happy for their future together. Just as Skyla wrote a great second book in Too Consumed, she's done it again with writing just the right ending we needed for this couple. This series a definitely must read.
