Makes you really think about life and family. How God works so mysteriously in our lives and how we need to have total faith at all times. Can't put it any other way accept a good read and really recommend it to a large family. Can't see how anyone could rage this book below outstanding!!!!!!!!

Forever- Karen Kingsbury has made me fall in love with the Baxter Family, including Dayne Matthews. After the Redemption Series the Firstborn Series delivered on all of the promises she made in the past series. After some major twists and turns-the biggest one a major part of Forever-she gave an amazing ending to the second series based on this family. With tears, laughter, anger, and all the other emotions that come along with reading a good book, Karen Kingsbury may be one of the best Christian Fiction writers out there.

Wow this whole series is great. I don't want to leave the Baxter family--they are like family. I have learned so much. I have started to listen to mine inner self to hear God--it really works. It's as if he's with me at times. Karen is a great writer. I just purchased the next series--Sunrise. I don't have enough time to eat and sleep now--the books have consumed my life.

I find all of her books good. Only thing I don't like is that she keeps continuing on so she can get a new book in the series. You have to wait until the last book for things to conclude.

'Forever' is the fifth and final novel in the 'First Born Series,' and it was wonderful. You don't necessarily have to read Karen Kingsbury's series' in the proper order -- but just read them.

Forever is the last book of Karen Kingsbury’s five-book “Firstborn” series, which also includes Fame, Forgiven, Found and Family. The series tells more the Baxter family’s stories with the addition of a child that the Baxter parents gave up for adoption before they were married. I had the benefit of reading Karen’s Baxter family books after they had been written – so I didn’t experience any wait for the next book to be published. The references to storylines in previous books didn’t seem bother me as much as some who have written about that – maybe I’m just so eager to keep reading that I tend to skim over any repetition. The Baxter family story lines were heartwarming and realistic. There were plenty of the same conflicts that all of us face at one time or another, and tragedies too. But blessings abound. I found the books to be an encouragement. I didn’t want to put them down and often read in just a few sittings. I would definitely recommend them: Redemption, Remember, Return, Rejoice, Reunion; Fame, Forgiven, Found, Family, Forever; Sunrise, Summer, Someday, Sunset; Take One, Take Two, Take Three, Take Four; Leaving, Learning, Longing, Loving; and Coming Home.

I have read this whole series so far and a lot of other Karen Kingsbury books. They are amazing! You don't want to put them down. Each chapter makes you want to keep reading to find out what is going to happen. I feel like family with the Baxter's because I know them so well.

It is a good conclusion to the series although leaves a lot left for other series. There is a lot of relationship healing and love displayed. I love when the town pulls together. It moves slowly in some places but includes the emotional allure that all of her other books have. The struggles are real although I do not always agree with they way they are handled especially the faith without works theme. I am inspired by reading them.
