Maya Goodwin lives life without restraint, passionately throwing herself into work, play, and love. Even when an arm injury halts her career as a police officer, she keeps pushing to get what she wants. Dr. Alex Nolan, a renowned expert in genetic disorders, is never reckless , but with Maya, he discovers his wilder side. At first he wants Maya to teach him about superheroes and martial arts so that he can bond with his newfound daughter, Charli, but as he gets to know Maya, Alex realizes life is messy and can’t be kept in compartments. With Maya’s help, Alex shows Charli that even with hemophilia she can have fun, as long as she is careful. Nicholas successfully weaves facts about hemophilia into conversations without being overly preachy. At its heart, this contemporary romance is about families—the family of friends that Maya has assembled and the family Alex is trying to put together with Charli and her mother—and how the two blend together. LOVED this story!! Alex is deliciously yummy, I think we all need one like him. Good father, doctor, sexy, protective. Yep, delicious. Finding out he's a father to a nine year old daughter could have thrown him over the edge but he took it in stride, embraced it, and now he'll do whatever he can to give her a good life. It troubles him that she's afflicted with the same bleeding disorder that he has had to deal with his whole life and he wants to be sure she gets the chance to experience life more than he did. Maya is daring and not afraid of anything. She lives life full out and makes no apologies. When Alex shows up at her martial arts studio looking to learn a little about the things his daughter enjoys she is immediately attracted to him. She doesn't let the fact that he has baggage deter her. But can the daring ex-cop and the play it safe doc really have it all?? This book is wonderfully written and I just adored the characters. I learned quite a bit reading this one as well. Definitely a book I recommend to everyone.

Just WOW! I feel a little bit speechless over this book. I love Erin Nicholas' stories. All of them. They all get to me on a different level. I have to say though, this is one of my top favorites of hers. She has totally blown me away. I always talk about how much I love the hero. Alex is no different. I love him in a big way. He is incredible. Sexy, swoony, sweet, great dad, friend, DOCTOR! But, can I just say, that I have the biggest girl crush on Maya!!!!??? Everything about her blew me away. She was amazing. Simply amazing. I loved her in the first book of this series and I couldn't wait to get her story. What I wasn't prepared for was that I would totally fall in love with her. She was just so cool!!! I want to be her. Strong, independent, balls to the wall, no isn't an option, the list goes on. She has the personality I wish I had! Maya was perfect for Alex. She was exactly what he needed to push him outside of his perfect little boxes. What an awesome match up. And can we talk about the secondary characters? I always want more from Erin's stories, but I REALLY want the stories of these friends. I loved Rachel. You'll meet her and you'll see why! ;) And I need more of Ben. But Sophie! I can't wait to get to know her better. Not only was the love story between Alex and Maya perfect, but so was the relationship with Alex and Charli, Alex and Rachel, Maya and Ben, Maya and the girls, Maya and Charli! You're going to get so many emotions out of this book. So many feels!!! Happy reading!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the second in the series, but the first I've read. Maya is a strong, independent woman who challenged Alex all the time. I love this story because of her attitude and what she brought out in Alex. Erin Nicholas' story was endearing, memorable, honest, true-to-life, and totally enjoyable. What a lovely story. I definitely have to go back and read the first book, and look forward to the next.

An adorably sassy story! It's funny, it's heartwarming and it's steamy in all the right places! It's always a nice dose of reality when an author tackles a topic that many know very little about and weaves a story in such a fashion that you leave more knowledgeable. I really enjoyed seeing the familiar faces in the series again, and meeting the new characters. Fun story! Feisty go-getter Maya Goodwin is always good for telling it like it is and going for what she wants out of life. She might have had a career ending injury that cut her life as a cop short, but she didn't let that stop her. She loves the studio she opened up to teach kids imagination and martial arts! It's a blast to interact with them and see them bring out new sides of themselves! Dr. Alex Nolan has always lived his life on the cautious side. He doesn't take chances, and he holds himself back from the crowd. He's not one to reach out and grab what he wants, so for him to feel drawn to Maya the second he lays eyes on her is very out of character for him. He recently learned that he has a 10 year old daughter, and he's desperate for a way to connect with her. Maya happens to be big on certain things that she's a big fan of, so he sets out to get her to help him win over his daughter. Could a daredevil and a cautious doctor ever wind up being a perfect match?

There is nothing sexier in this world than a man doing everything possible to be a good dad. This is a fun, sexy, drawing on the the emotions opposites attract romance with the added bonus of having a great family bond to it. Dr. Alex Nolan is hot hot hot with his whit and charm but what puts him over the top of uber sexy is his need to bond with the almost 10 year old daughter he never knew he had. It is this very need that puts him straight in the path of one sexy, talented and smart Maya Goodwin. What neither of them expected was to fall hard and fast. Loved every heart pounding, action packed, fun fill turn in this journey.

Alex needs help. As a top research doctor he is used to learning everything he can about a subject and placing it into it's neat tidy organized place, but life is messy. When he finds he fathered a child nine years ago after a one night encounter, he is in shock and at a loss as to how to relate to her. Maya was a Boston cop who was seriously injured on the job. As a strong powerful woman, she refuses to let an injury keep her down even though she had to leave the job she loves to heal. Meanwhile she created a place for kids to learn how to protect themselves and develop their inner strengths and super powers. The two meet at the mall as her team of super heroes demonstrate some of the skills they teach. Thinking possibly learning about his daughter's interest is just what Alex needs to do to connect with her he decides to learn more. So begins his path to super dad and becoming the father his daughter needs, but will he be able to keep things in order with the instant attraction he feels for Maya? Charming story with strong sexy characters, a charming young girl dealing with a tough medical condition and what happens when life gets messy.

This was an incredible story. Erin always writes fantastic books, however this is one of my favorites . Very well written, will hit your heart, and shows strength in characters . I am not a huge super hero Dan but this series is so much more then just that . Alex finds out he has a 9 year old daughter with a genetic disorder passed in from him. Maya has limited mobility in her arm due to a rescue . The live and strength these two show and give to the other is amazing.

I have found in life you make more connections by sharing something of yourself than you do by becoming an expert in the field. The shared experiences strengthen bonds. Alex Nolan learns this the hard way in Erin Nicolas’s new Opposites Attract novel Forever Mine. Alex is the foremost expert in his field, what he doesn’t tell anyone is that he shares the condition he fights so hard to understand. By opening himself up to sharing that information with others his life becomes richer and far more interesting. Maya is an important part of helping him to open up. She lives life to the fullest, even when it causes her pain. Together these two figure out that sometimes what you think is the answer isn’t. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

Anyone who knows me know I love a good Erin Nicholas story. And if you follow me and haven't read anything by Erin yet, I have to ask...what are you waiting for???? I was looking forward to reading Maya. She is one tough female with a geeky soul. I don't think there is enough heroines in the books I read that have their likes more aligned with superheroes and video games (shoutout to Kiera in Completely Yours). It's a refreshing little additive to a great story. Things in Maya's past have shaped her into the person she is today. Throughout the book, we get a clear understanding that she is someone who likes to help people any way she can. It's ingrained in her bones. So it was not a surprise that she was attracted to Alex. Yes he was pretty different, but their base morals were the same. Alex was a wonderful character. I love the really tough guys, but there are book boyfriends that come along and they are just a typical male and capture my heart just being who they are. Alex's medical condition combined with his childhood experiences and his love for his newly discovered daughter showed me that he is has a good soul. His medical condition was an interesting thing to learn about and something that is practically never written about in romance books because, well, it's not romantic. But it is an aspect of real life that I appreciated. You won't go wrong digging into this story. (I recommend starting with Completely Yours first, because, well, it rocks.) I just want you to know something imperative before you dive in...you'll get sucked in and want to read all of Erin's backlist! :)

The Opposites attract books, and this story line in particular is one of my favorites. It felt like I waited a long time for the story of Alex & Maya, and I was so excited when the book arrived. I loved this book, as I knew I would after reading Kiera & Zach's story. I couldn't wait for book two. I wasn't disappointed. I loved this story. This book and series are so relatable. I have kids who are a part of this life, part of this story line, so it was fun to relate to their likes, but also have an author who knew how to make it fun for me as well. Ms Nicholas always has great dialogue between her characters, the tingles Maya felt bleed right through the pages of the book, and down my arms. Maya and all of her friends are so real. I really wish the Maya's, and Kiera's of the world would open a studio. These people are more than characters. They are people that anyone would want in the world around them, to be friends with. That's what good writers do they make their characters, real and believable. Now I only have months to patiently wait for book 3... I can do it!

There's not doubt about it, Alex and Maya will forever steal your heart. Maya forces you to fall in love with her, while Alex refuses to see what's right in front of his face. Erin Nicholas knows exactly how to write a story that sweeps you away. Get your tissue ready because you're gonna need it.

Not sure how she does it but Erin Nicholas has a way of writing characters that resonate with me and have a tendency to occupy my thought for a long. TIme after I read the story. I want to be the characters and live in their life. It's a fairy tale that isn't perfect and that's what makes it so relatable. Or ally characters in books and movies don't have the reality to them but Erin Nicholas has a way of making her characters more real. They are flawed and have imperfections and insecurities that we can all relate to. Forever mine is the second book in this series and I find myself wanting more and more to this series because I love the characters and want to continue following their story even after they find their happily ever after. Alex and Maya's story is a love story that I wanted so badly to root for because of who they are. I love when they meet and it throws them both off kilter a little with that instantaneous connection that you only find a few times in your life. Maya is the nerdy tough girl and Alex is the adorably sexy doctor that is the the kind of man every one hopes their own daughter has as a father. The way Alex tries to learn about stuff he is completely clueless about so he can better relate to his newfound daughter is so insanely attractive that it's impossible not to fall in love with him just because of his persistence and will to learn to better his relationship with his daughter. and Maya supporting Alex's efforts to relate to Charli makes her even more lovable. I don't normally read books more than once but this is series I might read several times. Each book can be read as a stand alone but you won't read just one believe me. Thank you Erin Nicholas for making me fall in love with your characters with each new story you tell.

Occasionally a book comes along that sticks with me. It occupies my thoughts throughout the day and for many days, weeks, months afterward. Forever Mine is one of those books. This story was simply amazing. I was instantly attracted to Maya. She's a strong, independent women. And one of the things I love most about an Erin Nicholas story. But I think what I related to most were her actions once she found out Alex's secret. Her concern and research is totally something I would do. Despite it being such a serious issue, I had to smile knowing that Maya and I had a lot in common. Alex, Maya, and Charli, all three, really tugged at my empathy. Erin Nicholas did a wonderful job taking one issue and having three completely different emotions and reactions. And at the same time making me think, what would I do if I were in Alex's shoes? Maya's shoes? Charli's shoes? I am a huge fan of Erin Nicholas! I love everything she has ever written. LOVED!! I often try to pick my top three Erin Nicholas books and it's ever changing. Right now, Forever Mine is number one. I love Erin Nicholas's voice and like always find her story telling smooth and comfortable. And oh yeah, this was a ROMANCE! :) This story is so deep for me that I almost forgot to say Alex is HOT!! So hot. So so hot that, like Maya, I was worried for his health. :) I highly recommend Forever Mile as well as book one in this series Completely Yours!

"Forever Mine" is the second book in Erin Nicholas' Opposites Attract series. This series focuses on three female friends who are all, in some fashion, geeks. Maya is a retired police officer who now owns a martial arts studio with a focus on children. She's an expert on super heroes, weapons and empowering others; she's intensely passionate. Maya's an All-In Alpha. Alex's a prominently known research physician in the field of pediatric blood disorders. He recently learned he has a nine-year-old daughter who has hemophilia. Alex has this disease as well though only his parents and his own doctor know. Alex's all about caution, vulnerability, and compartmentalizing. Conversely Maya jumps in, takes risks, and her life is a blur of professional and personal all-in-one. This is an instant attraction book which is light on the descriptive sex. The storyline is rich, deep, and fun and the pace is quick. Erin Nicholas' story's incredibly rich revolving around the disease of hemophilia. She integrates it with notions of Vulnerability, Invincibility, and Super Powers. The romance in "Forever Mine" is strong and sweet, the sex is sultry but with a light touch. The characters are wonderfully "All In" in regard to their attraction to each other. Alex is wonderfully giddy whenever he's around Maya; the chemistry and flirting zings intensely. The only irritatingly angsty thing is Alex's waffling feelings about Rachel. Wondering if he should be with her merely because they share a daughter. As far as secondary characters go, Charli is not an irritating child and Rachel is mildly irksome. Kiera and Sophie are predictably predominant. However it's the boys: Zach, Rob, and Sam who play an important part for Alex. The Opposites Attract series is strong and I'm all for Geekiness in every form it comes in. A very sweet, lovable, heartfelt romance that practically melted my heart! This is my first book I read by Erin Nicholas and I was not the least bit disappointed. It had a almost Hallmark romance feel to the story but for once, it didn't detract from the story like some romances. Maya and Alex were a beautiful couple. Their passion was GLORIOUSLY HOT and I enjoyed the heck out watching their love blossom into smart, sexy sensuality. Besides the simmering romance, I loved the heartfelt story we get along with it. It had me teary eyed at times and smiling at others. Its the kind of story you might want some tissues with but you won't hesitate to sigh over it either. Forever Mine gets a WONDERFUL FIVE SHOOTING STARS!

I'm always on the lookout for books featuring smart heroines. The Opposites Attract series is about a trio of Lady Nerds, each with their own geeky interest. Each book stands on its own so you can read them in any order you want. Forever Mine is Maya's story. Maya is all about cosplay, martial arts, and super heroes. I could care less about these things- much like Alex- but Maya's enthusiasm is contagious. She's spunky and passionate about her interests, as well as the people she loves. She initiates most of her relationship with Alex- she's someone who goes after what she wants- and this sets up an interesting, not always good, dynamic in their relationship. Alex is an enigma. He's brilliant in his field as a hematologist but refuses to tell his colleagues or anyone else he has hemophilia himself. His mom overshared this information when he was a child and so he's swung in the opposite direction. (Is this possible?Wouldn't he have worn a medical bracelet or something along those lines in case of emergency?) When he finds out a) he has a 9 year old daughter from a one-night stand and b) she has hemophilia, he goes above and beyond to make up for not being there for her sooner. Alex is a truly good guy. He is loyal and funny and tries to do what's right. He thinks he shouldn't start a relationship because of his daughter but he has a hard time resisting Maya, especially when she's teaching him martial arts which he can then modify for his daughter and she's schooling him on his daughter's favorite superheroes. It's a really great set up for the story and I loved seeing Maya shine as an instructor and Alex's dedication to his daughter. They have wonderful chemistry together and I loved how their very different interests are brought them together in the first place. It was so fun watching their relationship grow! Maya's friendship with Sophie and Kiera still plays a big role, as it did in the first book. These girls have been through a lot together and there's great growth that happens because of their friendship. I'm so happy whenever female friendship plays a big role in a novel because it's true to my life and most people I know. Hemophilia is such an interesting illness to spotlight. Definitely a great choice. Because I used to be a pediatric oncology/hematology social worker, I had a few quibbles with the medical aspects of his storyline. Having the same diagnosis as the population you treat is a major boon and I couldn't understand why he wouldn't disclose it to his patients. I also wish the interdisciplinary pediatric team had been highlighted. At least by the end he understands the areas where he needs to grow as a doctor. One geek plus one doctor equals a sweet, enjoyable story of opposites who attract. I'm looking forward to Sophie's story next! Disclosure: I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

There is nothing sexier than a good dad. And while Alex hasn't known he was a father for very long he takes it to heart. That's how he meets Maya, trying to connect with his daughter. Forever Mine is full of emotions and characters trying to do their best in a complicated situation. However misguided Alex may be in trying to compartmentalize his life, things always get messy when it comes to matters of the heart. Yes, there are sexy tidbits to this story but there is also an underlying struggle of a father's love for his daughter versus his budding love for Maya. Add in the dilemma of his daughter's mother and a serious health issue and you've got the makings of a heartfelt story.

This is book 2 in the Opposites Attract series and it features Dr. Alex Nolan and Maya Goodwin. First let me say that these two are COMPLETE opposites. She's an "all in" kind of woman and he's a "stop and think" kind of man. I adored the romance and as long as they kept to the superhero/fantasy stuff, they were good. For Alex, trying to lead two different lives was a train wreck waiting to happen and I didn't like how he ultimately treated Maya. No pun intended but she got the short end of the stick and forgave WAY too easy. I just want to say that Maya is such an upbeat person that when she was sad, it actually brought tears to my eyes. I think this author dealt with hemophilia brilliantly! At certain points I think I was more involved in the medical condition than the romance. Fantastic story!

forever mine is book 2 in the opposites attract series from erin nicholas, and our opposites trying to resist their crazy attraction are ex-cop and risk-taker, maya goodwin, and a risk-averse, world-renowned pediatrician, dr. alex nolan. alex first comes across maya at a demonstration for her self-defense classes. from the moment he sees her, he can't keep his eyes off her. and she notices him too. his presence is enough of a distraction that she loses focus, which is not a good thing to happen in a staged battle. and every time she runs into him it's as if their bodies have some sort of magnetic attraction because she can't keep her eyes off him. honestly, she can barely keep her hands off him. and since maya is the jump first, ask questions later kind of girl, she's ready to go all-in. but alex isn't like that. and he has reasons to stay away from maya, even if they are hard to remember in the moment. he only recently learned that he has a nine-year-old daughter, and getting to know her and reconnecting with her mom has been his priority. introducing someone new to his daughter isn't what he is looking for. nevermind that getting to know maya makes getting to know his daughter easier. because the problem is that when he's with maya he forgets all the reasons he shouldn't take risks and it's been a long time since anyone made him want to let go like that. alex and maya just click. he likes her friends. being a part of her life is easy. but alex needs to figure out a way to let maya into his life. and this is not so easy for him. he's so used to holding himself back, keeping his truth hidden from others. even though he knows he doesn't need to do this with maya, a lifetime of habit is hard to break. until it nearly breaks them. letting go, letting someone in is absolutely terrifying, but oh so worth the risk. **forever mine will publish on march 28, 2017. i received an advance reader copy courtesy of netgalley/grand central publishing (forever) in exchange for my honest review.

BLURB Maya Goodwin doesn't believe in holding back. Ever. As a cop, she never hesitated to throw herself into harm's way to save someone. Even after an injury on the job forces her to retire, she's not afraid to keep risking it all to get the life she wants. With a new career teaching martial arts to kids already underway, she's looking forward to the future - and taking a chance on the unbelievably hot Dr. Alex Nolan. Maya - daring and spontaneous - is the exact opposite of what Alex always thought he wanted. But when a nine-year-old daughter he never knew existed shows up on his doorstep, Maya is the one who helps them hold it together. With love on the line, will the guy who's always played it safe be willing to take the biggest risk of all? REVIEW Geeky, romantic goodness! Both of the main characters, Maya and Alex are heroes in their own right. Maya an ex-cop who was hurt on the job and Alex is a doctor treating hemophiliac patients. I have to say Alex made my ovaries sigh. He was just all around awesome, getting to know and learn to relate to his newly discovered daughter, a doctor, and just a stand-up guy. I did want to smack him around a couple of times when he was he was being stupid and keeping the wall up between him and Maya. They are super sexy, sweet and fun as a couple and very entertaining to read. This is the second book in the series and though you do not need to read them in order you should because they are great books. The book is fun, sweet and sexy and excellently written. 5Stars *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book provided by the publisher.*

Forever Mine is book 2 in Erin Nicholas's Opposites Attract series. Once again Ms. Nicholas does a great job connecting the reader with the character and some real life tough situations. Alex and Mya will grab your attention from the beginning of the book and then add in the nine year old daughter Alex never knew he had and you have the makings of a great story you will not want to put down.

I absolutely loved the first book in this series and I was totally intrigued by Maya and Sophie. I was so excited to read Maya's story, the open book, go all out friend that was introduced in the first book. Even though this is the second book in the series, it can definitely be read as a standalone (but book one was amazing so you should definitely read that too!!). After a significant injury, Maya had to leave the police force. Now she teaches martial arts and helps kids figure out what characteristics they want to build by using superheroes to accomplish that. Maya doesn't let her limitations from her injury limit her. She lives life to the fullest every day. Alex recently learned about his nine year old daughter and is trying to find a way to connect with her. Given her obsession with comics and a certain superhero movie series, he meets Maya and tries to learn everything he can about the world his daughter is obsessed with. From the moment they see each other, the connection is undeniable. But Maya and Alex are opposites in almost every way so can they be more than just chemistry? I love the interactions between Maya and Alex. Maya's ramblings and Alex's constant questions kept me laughing for a lot of this book. On the surface, they are opposites but not in the ways that it really matter. They are both very protective of their loved ones, super smart, and passionate. I couldn't put this book down once I started but I never wanted it to end. I am very much looking forward to the next book in this series!! *This is my voluntary review of an advanced reader copy*

1st let me say that I am really enjoying Opposites Attract series. (Book 1 is Completely Yours) In most "Nerdy" books the guy is the nerd. I love that this is about "nerdy" women!! Forever Mine is the second book in this series. (Each can be read as a standalone, but it is totally worth it to read both books) Maya is an ex cop turned martial arts instructor. She literally kicks behind!! Alex is a single dad and doctor trying to find things that will help him connect with his newly found daughter. I loved that risk taker Maya is paired up with a follow the rules risks are for crazy people Alex! These two drive each other crazy with their different view points on what risks are worth it. This books contains some smoking hot chemistry that will leave you feeling hot like you just took a Bo class. I think that some of the health issues and how it effects normal life was really well handled. I fell in love with Alex's daughter Charlie, I felt for her struggle with trying to be safe but also with wanting to have fun. Don't let some physical limitations slow you down, modification is the Key! Overall this was a great book and very well written. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Maya Goodwin is a take no charge, full speed ahead kind of gal. It served her well in her career as a cop, until she got injured and was forced to retire. Now she has a new career teaching martial arts and self defense for kids. Dr. Alex Nolan happens upon an exhibition at the mall one day and falls in lust with Maya in purple leather. He's only recently met the 9 year old daughter he never knew existed. He's looking to connect with her and determines Maya's superhero class is the perfect way to connect with Charli, as well as getting him some alone time with Maya. Alex has always stuck to the straight and narrow growing up with hemophilia. He's well regarded in his field, but now he sees things from a different perspective with a daughter who also has hemophilia. Maya inspires him to take more chances, but as they fall in love, it begins to cause turmoil. I loved reading this story and seeing these two people, no matter how flawed, fall in love and find their path to happily ever after. It was so well written and had me screaming for more!

Forever Mine is a great addition to the Opposite Attract series. Erin Nicholas never fails to amaze me with her books, she is my top go to author. Maya Goodwin gives 100% in all she does, she's a risk taker and lives her life to the fullest. Alex Nolan likes to play it safe. He finds out he had a 9 year old daughter and enlists Maya's help to build his relationship with her. What wasn't planned was Alex's feelings for Maya, from the first time they saw each other they knew there was chemistry between them. I loved the way Maya gave 100% of herself in everything she did and the way she would pull Alex out of his safe place, the way she made Alex think about things in a different way. I absolutely LOVED Forever Mine and cannot wait to see what Erin Nicholas has for us next.
