Overview

Lydia Tomer has lived in Detroit her whole life. The Tomer women have a secret, and it is a heavy burden they’ve carried for hundreds of years… The family is cursed. Fall in love six times and then they die; the family constantly wonders what happened in their family history to be bestowed such a hefty penance. But when the Tomer bloodline is almost completely wiped out; something strange happens. During the loss of her first love, Lydia discovers she’s the “ONE TOMER” that isn’t on Death’s list. The problem is, Death isn’t too happy about it either and decides to pay Lydia a personal visit to make her aware of it.

Lisa, Lydia’s mother and best friend is appalled by this new discovery. Lisa believes that their only chance to rid themselves of this deadly curse is to find the Witch or at least the Witch’s bloodline that cast the spell and Lisa knows the one place where Witches currently reside: The Dark Coast. The Dark Coast is a large portion of the United States ruled over by constant cloud cover due to a scientific military experiment gone awry during the ongoing war with U.S. against Russia. Rumors and myths circulate around the world about the mysterious deaths, disappearances, and creatures that now roam the lands. However, the Lydia and Lisa have encountered a problem. The Detroit police detectives have grown weary of the Tomer women and their constant lost lovers. Now considered a flight risk while under the investigation for the murder of Lydia’s first love, they now have to resort to other measures to relocate to The Dark Coast.

Their only chance is to be smuggled in by the Royalty from the Coast whom seem to target those who cannot afford to start a new life on the Coast. They offer those willing money and a lavish place to stay in exchange for cleaning services. Lydia and Lisa have no other option than to take an assignment. For some strange reason Tomer Curse also has its perks; they have the ability to sense when anything paranormal is near. But it is their assignment that becomes the problem. Lydia and Lisa soon discover that the Coast is run by Vampires; and it is a Vampire Princess that assigns Lydia and Lisa to stay at the estate of Caden Cromwell, a very old, extremely handsome, and well respected Vampire. While their job is to maintain the grouchy Vampire’s estate; Lydia is also secretly assigned to persuade him into the new lifestyle which is to convert from killing humans to other measures of sustenance. Will Lydia find success in her assignment against the stubborn Vampire and find the Witch in time before Death returns for not only her second lover, but her Mother as well?
