A Valentine’s date gone wrong marks the beginning of a love that will last for all time.
Jena knows about vampires, particularly about the one who watches her every step, lest she somehow reveal her knowledge to the mortal world. Ian Sinclair would be her executioner should she even try to share her knowledge, but she doesn’t fear him. No, Ian bothers her on an even more elemental level. He’s just too sexy for his own good—and hers.
Ian finds himself attracted to the all-too-mortal lady doctor, though he knows better. He’s been assigned to watch her, not seduce her, but seduction seems to be all he can think of when he looks at the gorgeous woman who works entirely too hard and has such sad eyes. He feels things he hasn’t felt in centuries when she’s around, including an unreasonable jealousy when he follows her on a Valentine’s date with one of her colleagues.
After the disastrous date, will they both be able to resist temptation when Jena invites the vampire in?
I enjoyed this read. Let me first say, if your picking this book at random to read then it might seem a bit confusing. If you haven't followed the series which includes 3 books prior then it would seem a bit rushed and confusing. This novella is a good read but not strong enough to stand on it's own. I think that's why so many reviewers are disappointed with the read.
Jena's best friends in past books have all met and married their true mate. At one of their weddings she happens to meet Ian. Though they briefly spoke and shared a dance, she is unable to stop thinking about Ian who is a vampire. Ian has been watching Jena for months. He is known as the enforcer, although Jena is aware that her friends married vampires Ian is sent to keep an eye on Jena watching to see if she would tell of their existence.
On Valentines day everything has come full circle for both Ian and Jena as they both discover they are each others true mate. They also discovery something important about Jena's blood.

Good but short. i have been following this series for a while and stumbled
onto this one. i loved it. short like the rest but good.
Another great read for hot bloodletters, steamy sex, good wine, and another college friend could be the ONE! This book answers the question, or at least hints at the answer, as to how so many of a circle of college friends turned out to be the One for so many vampires.
Bianca D'arc does not disappoint!
I love the series, can not wait to read more.
