It is so rare that an author can sustain characters while evolving them realistically. Buroker is a very gifted storyteller and this final installment in the series is truely a worthy and incredible end. Do yourself a favor-read this entire series. This is what literature should be, storytelling that sucks you in so vividly into the lives and world of characters, to the point that you think them a part of your life.

Few novels have kept me on the edge of my seat. This series had me laughing and crying more than any I've read. I'm ready for more......

An excellent tale from a master story teller! Loved the evolution of each character. Surely there are seeds for more adventure! Right? ;-)

Thoroughly enjoy The Emperor's Edge series & reading about the evolving relationships. These characters have matured over the course of the series, but they still retain their individual quirks, which makes them so likeable. Always looking forward to Buroker's next book!

Excellent end to the series! I hope this isn't the end of the line for the gang.

I did not think the main character behaved overly defeated. She acted human. I loved how the romance developed. Great set of books.

Oh, so much fun! I actually read this in two days because I just couldn’t put it down. Hard to talk about this one without putting out spoilers. I will say the plot was action packed. And we get a few new faces – Tikaya and Rias from Lindsay’s prequel series Encrypted and Decrypted. I admit that I actually like this series more than the Emperor’s Edge series, so I was excited to see them again. However, with these new additions, it just became too many characters. It was a bit hard to keep track of them all. But I have to admit that Lindsay does a good job of tying up all the loose ends. The ending satisfied me. I think it was a good wrap up for the series.

I just finished this series. I enjoyed every word that was penned and could not put it down. Now that it's over, I feel like I've been dumped. I'm going through a book hang over to end all book hang overs .. I ... feel so lost. Who am I? Where am I? I want to go back into that world! As soon as the author publishes her next book I'm buying it!

Something just a little bit unsatisfying about the way everything wraps up, but maybe it's because I've enjoyed the ride and wanted to see the characters develop more. Sicarius' capture and the explanation of events from his perspective were not as strong, but really liked reading things from his perspective toward the end as he watched Amaranthe deal with the outcome of it all. Sorry to lose some characters (won't say who), glad to see Akstyr growing up and on the edge of evolving into a man Books and the team would be proud of.

Read the whole series. I had read 1-3 and then was slow to pick up #4, but after that I cruised through them to Forged in Blood 1, sidetracked to Encrypted and Decrypted so that I would be up to speed, and then read the last book in this adventure in a week and a half. I stayed up late, read on my lunch hour, and got up early to fit them all in. I went to the author's website and voted for more adventures just because I hated to see it end.
