All Music Guide - James Christopher Monger
Relient K's sixth studio album (and first with Mono Vs Stereo and Jive Records) represents the veteran alternative CCM outfit's official entry in the insufferable/cathartic (depending on where the listener is in his/her lives) "breakup album" category. Unsurprisingly, lead singer and songwriter Matt Thiessen's take on heartbreak is a genuinely hopeful one, a stance achieved by submitting to complete isolation in a remote Tennessee lake house during Forget and Not Slow Down's creation. Unsurprisingly, lead singer and songwriter Matt Thiessen's take on heartbreak is a genuinely hopeful one, a stance achieved by submitting to complete isolation in a remote Tennessee lake house during Forget and Not Slow Down's creation. Thiessen's penchant for machine-gun-fired torrents of both secular and non-secular self-discovery on top of impossibly catchy melodies makes for a remarkably upbeat listen, and the band's efficient, late-'90s alternative rock delivery feels far less stale than bands with a similar feel. That's not to say that its' all Matchbox 20 and Foo Fighters, as Relient K can deal out a jangle pop ("Candlelight") or adult alternative pop
ock ("Over It") gem when called for, but there's a certain fireplace familiarity to the whole affair (think Ben Folds without the snarky bits) that makes it all go down easy, despite the obvious emotional turmoil that spawned it.

    Totally Awesome!!!

I loved this CD. It was the first one of theirs that I bought. I heard about them through the WOW 2009 Rock CD. They are great. The way they word their songs makes you identify with the song. It is great!!!

    BUY IT!

With many of Relient K songs you find humor and fun. This cd was a bit different. It was amazing as usual but this cd had many more calm and meaningful songs. You can always relate to what the group is saying. Of course it still had up beat songs so no worries. Your still going to be able to bop your head around but your also going to be able to think about certain situations. I loved this cd and I HIGHLY recomend purchasing this one. I promise you;ll enjoy it.

    Another Good One By RK!

Though not my favorite Relient K album, this is another great one by the group. If you are into the whole punk & pop/punk scene at all, or just enjoy good quality Christian music, then check out this or anything else by this group. They are awesome!
