I've always enjoyed the Forgotten Realms in both gaming and read

I've always enjoyed the Forgotten Realms in both gaming and reading. its managed to keep fresh and interesting in a field where there were some tough contenders. D&D filled many summer nights and the Realms were a large part of it, one that I enjoy with the next generation to use their imagination.

The best DaD book i ever seen

This is great. I never have always been a fan of champain settings, but i never liked to spend to much money on their books. I borrowed this from a friend (and never gave it back) and i love it. I have been a fan of Forrgoten Realms books, and this works well with it. It does not foced on the game rules, it is all about the world in general. The subraces were great. I loved the NPC that were showed. If you read the books, you can see how they affect it. I also like how it is high magic.

I hated the Realms... Not anymore.

I never could tollerate the Forgotten Realms, it just wasn't my type of place. Then I picked up and read a couple of pages of the new Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting and I was hooked. This book slightly revises the classes, introduces new subraces for the non-human races, and new spells and cleric domains. If that isn't enough the illustrations are to die for and if that isn't enough it intruduces the concept of epic levels (levels beyond level 20). In more ways than I can express, I am now hooked into the realms. And this book is sole reason. It's worth every penny.

    Forgotten Realms Fans Rejoice

If you are a fan of the Forgotten Realms, and you intend to use the Realms as your D&D campaign setting, this book is a MUST BUY. Introduced in the book are new races, new prestige classes, new spells, monsters, and alot more new stuff. I could go on and on, but won't. Though the print is rather small and could cause a problem for those with sight problems, each page is packed full with information. Interior art is at a minimum, though the art that is there is very good. The map has been scaled down a bit, though what is presented looks very good. Though most cities, towns, etc. are presented in the book, a brief overview is given, along with some adventure inspiring ideas. Though you may wish to have each city laid out before you, what is presented is sufficient. By not describing each locale in detail, Wizards allows for each DM to work with what is offered, thus not locking anyone into the old - 'This is the way it must be' issue. Overall, I think this book is worth the forty dollar price tag. If it fits in your budget, buy this book. One note - The book is already available. It was originally slated for a June 1st release, but hit the shelves of most hobby stores on the 25th of May.
