    This book is simply... divine

I've seen some pretty neat D&D books, but this one is really good. It goes into moderate detail for every god in the realms, and great detail for others. The Forgotten Realms gods have long been my favorites, and that pantheon is the one that I usually use in my campaigns, because there is a lot of diversity between the different clerics. In Deities and Demigods, the D&D people tried to make historically/mythologically accurate representations of gods like Zeus and Thor, but here, they were given much more freedom to craft the divine powers of a world that they themselves had already created. This book does not have much in the way of new spells (only 2 or 3), nor does it have many new feats. It does however have a plethora of prestige classes, many aimed at Clerics of specific deities. Yet again, another fine book made by the Wizards of the Coast team.
