"The plot itself kept me riveted. So much was going on behind the initial romance story. Katherine, through the power of an old magical necklace, is sent back through time and takes the place of Marguerite a has a riddle she must solve in order to set right a mistake that was made long ago. But beneath this is a twisted tale of debauchery, murder, sex, lies and torment." -Tor

Katherine Nicole Jamison never imagined when she took a job at a
prestigious auction house for the summer, that one moment of
impulsiveness could change her life forever. When she "borrows" an
ancient amulet she inadvertently sets in motion a series of events which
results in her waking up in 18th century England, betrothed to an
arrogant, self-centered Earl.

Sebastian de Winter ~ The Earl of Ravenhurst,
is a renowned womanizer who always prided himself as being a
ladies man, until he is left standing at the altar. His betrothed Marguerite
vanishes into thin air and as if by magic reappears months later. But is
she his betrothed?

Ravenhurst ~ A once forgotten legend, locked
somewhere within the gloomy confines of this ancient
edifice is the key
that will unlock the door of time itself.

barnes and noble - quest 4books
This was a fun read with quite a few "naughty bits"! I was drawn not only to the main characters, but to the other characters as well. I laughed out loud in parts and wish it had been longer. I'm looking forward to the next book as this was a real page turner...oops! I mean "screen" turner. :)
barnes and noble - R Calgon
You have to love a book that can take you away from the present. This book does that immediately. It had me looped in from the get go. The main Character is very likeable. I found myself laughing out loud at times at her antics. There are awesome flash/time travel scenes that gave me goosebumps. Laughing and goosebumps in the same book.... that just does not happen very often!
barnes and noble - a mystic
This book was a fun read, with great sex, and the story drew me in. I really liked how well rounded and "real" the characters were. I laughed out loud in several spots and could feel the heat between the characters.

Wow what a find. I stumbled across this book by accident and I am very happy that I did as it is quite intriguing with its humor and romance. I think this author did a great job of bringing these characters to life. If you would like to escape for a while then this is the book for you. This read makes you feel like you are there with Katherine. It is a fantastic read and if you like time travel as I do, you will love this book. Waiting excitedly for the next addition. Kudos to this author!

this was quite a surprise. usually you run the risk of these .99 ones being run of the mill, but this was quite professional with complete story lines and nice adult romance.

I really liked this book. I wish it was an entire book though not just part one of a book that is why I gave it only 4 stars. Still I thought it was a good start to a story with funny parts and good character interaction. I agree with the other reviewer, I hope part 2 doesn't take forever to come out.

This was a good book. There was unexpected comedy at times. I hope book 2 doesn't take forever to be available for the nook!

Excellent book!! I don't normally read historical romance but I love that this involves time travel and romance! I highly recommend this book.

I absolutely loved this book and its sequel. It made me laugh, and exclaim in surprise and grin at the sexual content. A great read; well written and executed. Great, great read!!

This book was really good. It strayed away from the normal-heroine -hero scenario...thankfully. I read a ton of time-travel romance and sometimes I get a chuckle or two from them, but this seriously has some really funny parts. I read in another review it was hard to follow-I didn't think so but I like books with a brain, you know ones that make you think a bit. I love it when I get a book that surprises me and this one did. I will DEFINITELY be reading the rest of this series...also check out Clover Autrey series too-she puts a new spin on time-travel as well ....love her books Oh and Tammie Clarke Gibbs great book!

This book could have used some further editing. It felt a bit rushed, but the idea was pretty cool. The idea of two different worlds coming together was entertaining, but I was turned off by the immaturity of the protagonist and the lack of a good heroine.

First of all, it's only 110 pgs, part 1 of ? parts...I won't wait to find out. I felt cheated, even at $.99! The heroine is funny at times, which is why I gave it the extra star. But mostly she comes off as shallow. At this point there is no basis for the romance except for physical attraction...I'm definitely not buying that our main character would be mooning over her love interest, especially since he hasn't been very nice to her. Maybe she really is as shallow as she came across and his looks are enough for her. (Not for me; I needed to see a little more substance.) The writing seemed kind of amateurish. Basic mistakes jumped out at me, like "threw" instead of "through." I assume it's a first novel attempt, so I guess it's not terrible if you take that into consideration...but I think the authors should not have posted it for purchase until it was finished and more polished. At least indicate that it's only part 1 in the description!

OK, too many main characters, took away from the romance part.

It kept my interest. But it just ends with a notice at the end of "to be continued". Seriously? So now i have to get another book and i'm hoping it will solve the mysteries from this story. 4stars because it wasn't complete.

I read alot... I mean alot. This book was all over the place for me. She introduced too many characters at once and had 3 to 4 stories going on at the same time only to come to the end... without an ending. It's a cliffhanger to buy the next book. Sadly disappointing. I only gave it 2 stars because it did keep my interest somewhat.

I enjoyed this book, it was funny and a little twisted. Still a good read though.

Anybody who gave this a positive review is obviously a friend or family member of the author. This was just so, so bad. :(

I read the free sample of this book and immediately had to buy it. This is not your normal historical read, this book has obviously been written for a younger, hipper kind of reader. There isn't any cutesy slang riddling the pages of this book. If you are looking for steely shafts, throbbing members or delicate flowers opening...well this may be an eye opener for you. It is definitely more real...love it. Great detail, all around awesome read. My kind of book. Thank goodness someone took historical romance into the 21st century.

First of all, this book must have been written for young teens, which I didn't realize when I purchased it. Second, after reading about 20 pages, I must have discovered 40 grammatical errors. How could a book get published with absolutely no copy editing? It got so ridiculous that I started counting the mistakes. Some on nearly every page. Didn't the author know how to even use the common comma? I couldn't believe the run-on sentences, which made for a frustrating and juvenile read. How did so many eoors slip by her, much less not receive any editing by the publisher? I wish the author could answer that question for me. I'd be embarrassed to have this on bookshelves with so many mistakes. Literally, up to 40 errors in a good 20 pages. First mistake was on page 2.

I never wrote a review before but feel obliged to tell you not to waste your time and money reading this book. It is poorrly written, disjointed, confusing - there is nothing redeeming about this book. This is an insult to my intelligence.
