i received an arc for an honest review.
Man oh man someone is back and he is mad! Blake's anger is so palatable you can almost taste it! We delve deeper into this crazy world he is apart of and learn more secrets!
Lana deals with such heartbreak so graciously and continues on with Billie and the baby as best as she can. She is a tough cookie!
We also learn more about the wonderful Victoria. She is something to be reckoned with and scares the snot out of me!
In the end I am proud of how Blake and Lana come together and start to chart the uncharted that is their future. Don't miss this one!

This book would be a 5 star plus in my opinion minus a few disturbing incidents. When I want adult romance keep it clean. Don't take an act of punishment and cruelty of what blakes father done to him and have Lana do it to Blake. That was disgusting!!!!!! Also I am not into romance novels where you have to murder for love because of sick twisted plots of child molestation and being born privileged to do sick twisted things to what you call nobody's. The book went from GREAT to DISTURBING!!!!!!!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Wow, just wow. There’s a lot going on in this book. Blake at the beginning of the book is a complete jerk and I wanted to throw him in a well, but the contrast between the beginning and the “switch” is very stark and I loved it. The story starts off feeling like a horribly abusive relationship (though that does play a part anyway), but despite that and her having a few weak moments, Lana seems like a stronger woman this time around.
Beyond the characters though, the story was riveting. That being said, I was left with a lot of questions and the big secret that’s finally revealed is a little far fetched for me. Due to that, I’m torn about just how much I look forward to the next book. However, it’s still lots of yummy drama and I love how Blake and Lana ended up. My biggest question is what ever happened with the pink shirt? Hehe.
A note on a something not really relevant to the story itself: I was raised to believe that the “C” word is the ultimate dirty word. I know in some places it’s very common and that it’s used often in erotica stories, and I don’t mind it so much anymore, but I gloss over it when I read it and can barely think it, let alone say it. The word plays a role in this particular story and at one point Lana looks it up, thinks it over, and decides to own it. The entire scene made me honestly enjoy the use of the “C” word and it doesn’t bother me nearly as much as it used to. Thanks to the author for that alone – Bravo!
Forty 2 Days is a story that will keep you guessing and pull at your emotions from the first page to the last. It ends up in a very different way than expected and leaves plenty of room for more. Don’t miss out on this compelling sequel!
