    Great Book for WPF and Silverlight Beginners!

    I am a Flash developer and recently I was tasked with creating a project in Silverlight. I bought a couple of books but I found them to be very textbook like. I then read this book and found it to be unlike any other technical book I have read: it was very much like learning from a friendly tutor. The author explained things in a very simple, easy to understand manner and then went on to lead me through building a sample application. This really made what he had just taught me stick in my memory. The author even gives his personal email address and encourages the readers to email him when they get stuck or to just send over sample applications. After completion of the book I have a very good understanding of this new and powerful language and I am a competent Silverlight developer because of it. Great book and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to learn WPF and Silverlight.
