    covers wide range of topics

    This is very good reference book. Covers wide range of topics from internet technologies, networking, search, e-commerce and more. Good introductory book.

    Foundations of Web Technology (The Kluwer International Series in Engineering and Computer Science)

    Good book on foundations of web tchnology. Gives good architectural details on various web application like messaging, e-commerce, wireless and mobile technology, search and information retrival.

    All the latest technology is very well covered. Good introduction book.
