Do you want to be transformed?

I have learned so much about myself by reading Don Miguel Ruiz' trilogy. In these books you will be transformed, you will learn to be happy!

These books help you to understand how perfectionism starts at an early age because we want the approval of others. This starts a process whereby we set up expectations of ourselves and others.

We want to please our parents, teachers, peers, friends, supervisors, spouses, children, etc. and at the same time we set up expectations and needs to be met by others.

Happiness does not depend upon the performance of others, such as your spouse, children or co-workers. You will only find happiness within your heart. Your relationship with God is crucial. God is love and He loves you unconditionally. Once you believe this you will be able to love yourself and others. This breaks down the unrealistic, unattainable, principles of perfectionism.

I personally have strong Christian beliefs, therefore, I am unable to embrace or accept the "Toltec wisdom". The author himself embraces many religions including Christianity. These books actually helped me to embrace my own faith in a clearer way, because I feel I know myself better after reading these books.

I believe you will enjoy these books. I recommend you read all three of them, "The Four Agreements, "The Voice of Knowledge", and "The Mastery of Love" . You will sense a new freedom in your heart and a childlike trust in God. Yes, you can be transformed into a happy person and it starts inside of you!

    Interesting Read

I've had to read through this set of books twice thus far because the concepts and the background is like reading philosophy 101. I discovered that Mr. Ruiz's teaching of his Toltec beliefs are similar to Christian teachings but Mr. Ruiz brings a lot more background to the teachings that I found to be more inspirational than ever. I would equate the author's teachings to those of any great spiritual leader, and Mr. Ruiz does state that in his books. But I like the way he presents the material of being kind to one another and to yourself, to speak only kind words, to not make assumptions about situations we have no control over, to not take anything personally, and to always do your best. I am more aware of how I present myself to others because of this great knowledge.

    I Also Recommend:

I wish I had this book when I was 18!

I absolutely love this book! It's simple and easy to remember. It makes complete sense. This is the kind of book that anyone can learn from. I work in sales and I coach my representatives all the time to be careful not to make assumptions. We know we shouldn't do it, but this book gives us great reasons that really bring the point home. I have recommended it to several friends. I can't wait to share it with my children as well. It's a great confidence-builder!

My Son was faced with some of the most disturbing things that can happen to one at the peek of his life. He went to prison for the most ridiculous reason and was in complete shock. He thought he had a loving wife that decided to get a divorce. It all can as a complete shock. We were left with having to tell him about this. So we took this collection that we had seen work already. And asked him to read them and he did! He called and talked about where he was  in the first book instantly and he talked so completely different than we even imagined! Given the news that we expected would yield a horrible response (we were honestly worried he would harm himself or worse)! He continued to read the entire collection and when visiting him or talking to him he was a completely new person and ready to deal with life and he is healed in spirit soul and mind. While reading these books other inmates asked him what book is he reading because they knew what happened. They asked to read them and he let them borrow the books and three read these books. My son was involved in a special program for AA and NA and wrote a report on the books and turned it in to the counselor that requested he write this report; because he seemed in good spirits. After the report this counselor mentioned these books used to be in the library. I think they may be thinking these books will help certain inmates. And they might bring the books back.
