Andrea Palladio 1508-1580 was one of the most influential architects of the Renaissance, whose name became equated with the revival of classical style-palladianism. His 1570 treatise, The Four Books on Architecture was the inspiration of architects, city planners and others it was Goethe's chief guide on his Italian Journey. Now, for the first time in two centuries it is available in a new English translation by Robert Tavernor and Richard Schofield. Complete with 217 illustrations, it will be a substantive gift for architects and others who love beautiful buildings.
If you are interested in Architecture, you must know these writings from Piero della Gondola, or Andrea Palladio "sort of artistic name".
These books tell us about the experience he had in designing and construction of buildings, such as his famous VILLAS; he describes how construction materials can be used, based in his own experience.
