    No preview

If thr preview is any indication of the book; then din't get it. Doesn't even show a table of contents, just cover and copyright/legal info. If they have to hide the book it can't be good.

Hmm This, or Marathoning for Dummies Hard Choice

Awesome book! Real motivator. This book had me so psyched up, I ran 3 marathons in 5 weeks. Instead of my long runs of 23 and 24 miles, like the training suggests, I signed up for 2 local marathons. Then the original marathon that I was training for. Which makes 3. Don't pass this book up. It helps you with your diet and the best part of the book in my opinion is the day by day training schedule.

Was 265 lbs, now 205. Buy this book.

I had started running in college in 1994, and it helped me to lose weight. I pretty much just worked up to 5-7 miles and only did that until my wife got me this book. It is very short/thin and easy to read, but will get you motivated. Has hundreds of tips that you need to know to not hurt yourself, as well as just common sense advice we should have already thought of but didn't. I used this to train for the 2001 New York Marathon and finished in 5:39. I am still going to try to do one a year, and do one in four hours one day. Oprah Winfrey ran her first marathon in under 4 hours is how the book begins. Claiming this book changed my life would be a bit hard to believe, but it did.
