I must own up to the fact that I have been a fan of Maya Banks and Shayla Black from the beginning of their respective writing careers. All their books line my bookshelves and I promote the purchase of their books whenever possible. To me no one does erotic romance better, so I can say with absolute certainty, that the combination of these two talented ladies into one anthology is a stroke of pure genius. And ask why didn't it happen sooner?
Here is the premise.one woman and three men, 2 stories, hence, Four Play. In each short story we have our heroine and her three best male friends, a little stir of the pot, fantasy revelations and boom, we have ourselves spontaneous combustion!!!
In Maya Banks' Pillow Talk, Zoe is a devoted lover to firefighter Chase who shares their home with firefighters Brody and Tate. A little pillow talk later, Chase learns Zoe's fantasy, she learns his and, naturally, it will all involve their roommates. Add an extra firefighter friend and a pick up in an out of town bar with some voyeurism thrown in for good luck, mix it all together and sit back and watch. But be warned, exactly when does sooo much become too much?
In Shayla Black's, Her Fantasy Men, Kelsey is secretly in love with her two closest friends and her dominating boss. Her fantasy includes all of them. Can they deliver or is that just another fantasy that can't come true? Does she really want the willingness of one over the domination of another or just the great boy next door? Or maybe she requires just a combination of all three.
These are two great stories, with very hot, sweaty, exhausting sex and very graphic and enticing dialogue. Honestly, who doesn't love a firefighter? And with this many in two stories how can you go wrong. This is fun and engaging without being the same old-same old. If you are going to read erotic romance read what should be considered the gold standard. Read everything by Maya Banks and Shayla Black, but especially Four Play.

In Pillow Talk by Maya Banks, Zoe is a woman in a committed relationship with her boyfriend Chase. Then one night, Chase reveals his number-one fantasy, which involves his two best buddies. Is Zoe game? She sure is, because it opens the door for a secret fantasy all her own. In Shayla Black's Her Fantasy Men, a girly-girl named Kelsey plays football, craves action movies, and loves knocking back a cold beer with her three best friends-all male. Yet she's never seemed sexually interested in any one of these hot guys. So what does Kelsey want? A fantasy come true for all four of them.

Both stories are great but I did enjoy "Pillow Talk" by Maya Banks just a tad more. It's hard to go wrong with Maya Banks or Shayla Black. I am a huge fan of both of these authors and they keep getting better. Four Play is an excellent read and one I plan to keep.

I am a really huge fan of Maya Banks and I must say that the latest was even more erotic than her others. I am not a huge fan of "stranger" situations but it was made likeable by the depth of feeling in the characters in Banks' Story. I have never read Shayla Black before and was surprised at her story. It wasn't my favorite but neither was it horrible. If multiple partners is your thing, this book is the book to read. HOT, HOT, HOT!

Zoe and Chase love each other with each willing to play out the other's sexual fantasy. Chase tells Zoe his most secret encounter they have not tried and to his delight she agrees. His firefighting BFFs Brody and Tate join the couple for a ménage a quartet.
"Her Fantasy Men" by Shayla Black. Kelsey may play football and drink beer with gusto, but conceals her fantasy from her three BFFs. She dreams of a ménage a quartet with her and the three men who are her buddies. Rhys, Jeremy and Tucker talk with one another and soon go all out to please the star of their respective sexual wet dreams.
Both erotic tales are well written exciting entries with strong casts though I'm unsure why the studs in Shayla Back's heater failed to make a move as their excuses seemed lame.

Four Play is a great book written by Maya Banks, and Shayla Black. In the story pillow with Zoe and Chase, they play out thier fantasties for each other along with their 2 roommates, also best friends. When feelings come into the mix along with the pain Zoe can't chose any one man, because she is in love with all of them. In the story fantasy Men, Kelsey is in love with the 3 special men in her life. They try to find out what Kelsey needs and wants sexually. In one week Kelsey has hot sex with all three of them. Kelsey enjoys having sex with each of them. They learn that they can't live without her. they want Kelsey pick one of them to marry. In turn Kelsey runs because her heart is breaking. She comes to terms with feelings, and picks all 3. P.S. which of her lover's is her baby's Father? The stories have great sex, and lot of love to go around for all who are involed. Read this one!!! Great Sex for ALL!!!

I found everything great about this book, I was so addicted to this book I was picking it up at red lights and reading what I could till the light turned green. I liked that is was not drawn out, although I would really have liked to have know who's baby it was it could have kept going just a little longer

I like a wide variety of stories, but this is just too much sex and not enough story line for me.
Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged. This book had it all from two interesting writers. Maya's story was sexy and kept me turning the pages. Shayla's story was a bit more far fetched but still had me squirming in my seat. Both stories have 3 men making love to a particular woman by themselves or all together. Great read if your looking for a lust filled book from page one.

I gotta say this is the first Maya Banks book I didnt like. Usually I love her stuff but in this book the characters have no depth, the plot goes nowhere except to see how many people can Chase get Zoe to sleep with. Definately not worth $10. Buy a different book.
