    Informative

I couldn't read it cover-to-cover because there is just so much information it was overwhelming, and the writing is the dry, research paper type of writing. However, it is a informative, helpful reference to have on hand.

    more from this reviewer

Highly recommended by others. But not for me.

This is by far the worst book I have ever read. Not because the information is bad. In fact this book has been recommended by Millionaires and Billionaires alike so I'm sure there are a lot of really good, really useful information in it. Truly a good book for those who study psychology. However I believe you'd have to be a rocket scientist to understand the author. I graduated with Honors in my English and Literature classes but I just can't seem to comprehend this book. The author uses highly advanced terms in his wordings that I cannot understand. In almost every sentence he uses a word that I'd have to look up in the dictionary and with close to 500 pages it would take me a lifetime to finish this book. I'm really into psychology. I really want to learn what the author knows. But since I can't understand the author I'm going to have to pass on this book and return it to the bookstore if it's even possible. I'm a very patient person but this book has pushed me to my limit and angers me everytime I try to comprehend it. Anyone looking to buy this book should definitely read a few pages before purchasing it to see if it's understandable to them.

Facinating reading! A must for all educators!

This book was very enjoyable and helpful when working with students either young or old. It drives those who teach to consider current instructional methods in order to meet everyone's needs. A must read for those who train or teach!

    Logical Intelligence

On page x, the author formulated a definition of what he called an 'intelligence': An intelligence is the ability to solve problems, or to create products, that are valued within one or more cultural settings...' Then on the following page he stated: 'Furthermore, I am equally suspicious of claims to test intelligence (whatever it might be) by means of reaction-time measures or brain waves...' However, problem-solving tests test the ability to solve problems or to create products. In which case test intelligence. Furthermore, how do we measure ability when two individuals arrive on the same solution or the same product? We tap on their reaction-time. From math contest to writing to musical production to Olympic swimming, it is all about 'how', 'how well', and 'how fast'.
