This is a wonderful book consisting of fascinating personal portraits of the many celebrities the author got to know as the premiere 'three dot' columnist in Hawaii for several decades. In his unique position, Mr. Sherman worked, played, and even lived with some of the most famous people of the last fifty years. There are so many intriguing insights about these larger than life icons, that you turn the pages in an almost spellbound=like trance of surreal delight! The author has the gift for putting these amazing stories and celebrity insights into the context of the times in which they took place. As a result, each decade seems to come alive in a way that the reader will never forget. I just couldn't put the book down until I finished it, and then I read it again slowly to savor every page. This is one of the most enjoyable books I have ever read. Eddie Sherman's shining personality comes through so clearly that it is easy to understand why so many famous people trusted him and enjoyed being his friend and confidante. Was this review helpful?
