The problem is that Franklin's friends have their own ideas of what nicknames he should havenone of which Franklin likes. Franklin wants the name "Flash" and sets out to prove to his friends that his choice is the right one for him. The detailed illustrations are a great accompaniment to the text using bright colors and good page placement. A wonderful story line that will make readers smile as Franklin finds out that maybe having others decide his nickname for him is not such a bad idea after all. 2004, Kids Can Press, Ages 3 to 8.
