Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
One of the latest hardcover books in the "Franklin TV Storybook" series has Franklin wanting not only to become a famous athlete, but also have a cool nickname to go with his aspiring career. The problem is that Franklin's friends have their own ideas of what nicknames he should have—none of which Franklin likes. Franklin wants the name "Flash" and sets out to prove to his friends that his choice is the right one for him. The detailed illustrations are a great accompaniment to the text using bright colors and good page placement. A wonderful story line that will make readers smile as Franklin finds out that maybe having others decide his nickname for him is not such a bad idea after all. 2004, Kids Can Press, Ages 3 to 8.
