Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Does a fly sandwich sound yummy? Franklin loves them and when he decides to prepare a picnic lunch for his friends, fly sandwiches, fly cookies, and fly juice are all part of the menu. His parents are not so sure that all his friends are going to be thrilled with this picnic lunch, and indeed they are not. Flies don't suit them, but ants—now that is a different story. When Franklin's mother shows up with a pizza everyone is thrilled, especially when they learn that ants are one of the toppings. Franklin sticks to his fly sandwiches and cookies. A level 2 book in the "Kids Can Read" series. There is an opening note to teachers and parents explaining the three levels in the series.
