CHAPTER 1

On the island of one million trees-deep in the forest- was a beautiful village called "Fairyville"

In this village lived only fairies. There were over 100 of them-all living very happy fairy lives.

The boy fairies spent their days making little houses and shops and the girl fairies decorated them.

They worked together planting flower gardens and vegetable gardens.

Fairyville was a very magical place!

"Sprinkles" would scatter her fairy dust over rain clouds to make the rain start or stop!

"Little twister" could spin around in a big circle very fast and make a breeze to dry the little fairy outfits that were hanging on the laundry rope outside!

"Lilac" could blow a sweet breeze through the trees!

"Rosebud" would fly over the flower gardens and the flowers suddenly grew almost as tall as the trees!

"Lily-Dee" was the frogs favorite fairy! She would fly over lily-pad-pond and repair the torn lily pads.

The frogs loved playing a fun game of leap-frog with "Lily-Dee"!

"Tuney" the music fairy could fly over a colorful field of tall grass and the fields played a tune that was beautiful music to all fairy ears!

The "rainbow twins" were the youngest of the fairies. Their names were "Melon-Orange-Mikky" and "Evergreen-Eli". They had the best job in Fairyville! The twins would hold hands and fly up beyond the highest cloud-then with squealls of laughter-slide down every side of the double rainbow they had just painted!

Oh! What fun they had!

The most famous fairy of them all was 'Henry-the- Hero' fairy. When a fairy was in danger-Henry would come to their rescue!

He was very brave!

Henrys sister was just the opposite! Her name was 'Frannie the frightened' fairy and she was scared of everything! (her biggest fear was flying)

She spent most of her days alone-reading a book in her favorite tree. It was a rosebud tree that was filled with pink blossoms and it smelled wonderful!

When Frannie was sitting on the lowest branch-you could not even see her because she looked like part of the tree! (She was scared of heights so she stayed on the bottom branch).

Her brother was her hero which was why she loved books about bravery and adventure!

Henry would tell her that everyone has a hero inside of them somewhere-even Frannie-then softly pat his little sister on the head and she would smile.
