Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
First of all, a point of clarification: Igor, Franny's faithful lab assistant, is not a full-bred Labrador. He's part poodle, part Chihuahua, part beagle...well, you get the picture. So when Igor swallows the doomsday device, Franny K. Stein responds both as a frantically mad scientist and a devoted dog owner, which of course complicates the matter of extraction. As always, Jim Benton's "frantastic" voyages can please both kids and adults.
School Library Journal
Gr 2-5-In this lively fifth installment in the series, Franny finds herself in a panic when her faithful canine assistant swallows her latest invention. She then must delve the depths-of Igor's stomach-to retrieve her Doomsday Device. While totally unbelievable, the child's imaginative voyage takes her swimming through a sea of snot and boogers and combines the gross-out factor with black-and-white cartoons. The story will appeal to both boys and girls, and the writing style (and even the typeface) is age appropriate. Plus, the very short chapters with art on every page will hold the attention of even the most reluctant readers.-Diane Eddington, Los Angeles Public Library Copyright 2006 Reed Business Information.

    I loved it

This book was really good. I liked it when Franny was shrunk and went into Igor's stomache. I can't wait for future books.

A hilarious and heart stoping book!

My favorite character in this book was Franny, because she is adventurous. I liked the part of the book when Franny¿s dog Igor ate some grapes and ate Franny¿s Doomsday Device instead of a grape.
