Free Four: Tobias Tells the Divergent Knife-Throwing Scene [NOOK Book]

A waste

Love the books! I was hoping this was more than a couple pages of Tobias view but was let down. Only a few pages about him then the rest was about the other two books. If your buying this chances are you read them already. Waste of money. Ya only a dollar but a dollar i wasted! Feel ripped off!

Amazing chapter!!!!

There was only one chapter from Tobias' point of view, but that chapter was amazing! She really needs to write a whole book from his point of viev!

Let's be clear, to call it "Tobias Tells the Divergent Stor

Let's be clear, to call it "Tobias Tells the Divergent Story" is a complete misleading. Tobias Tells a Scene from the Story would have been accurate. The bulk of the 42 pages on my Nook are the first chapters from the books I already purchased. I was very displeased with the misleading name. Was the chapter good? Yes. Would I have spent 99 cents on A CHAPTER? I don't know. I figured it wasn't going to be the whole book since it was 99 cents. But I also didn't think it was going to be just a few pages either.

I was waiting 2 buy free four, & when i did, i was verrry disapointed. Most of it isn't even the story, just things from the author. No wonder it's only 99¿ If you ask me, dont buy it, it's such a let down. :c

Great to see things from his point of view. The most revealing

Great to see things from his point of view. The most revealing bit to me was what happened after internally after he threw the knives and up to his leaving the training room. This was the perfect scene for Veronica to chose to tell. The Farris Wheel would have been to soon & the latter parts in the book reveal so much. EXCEPT, I would very much like to know what Four was thinking when he rescued her from Peter and the Chasm....I also think this would have been more helpful to me as a reader had it been released between Divergent and insurgent because I had a little bit of a hard time rationalizing Fours change in mood/view point between books...Like, so much was revealed so fast in Insurgent about Four, that I think this chapter would have helped ease that gap for me and made a better bridge from the outer persona of Four to the inner person that is Tobias. I would love to get my hands on any extra content!!! I hope she releases more!! All I can say is Fall 2013 it to far away!

This is a huge rip off and it doesn't tell you anything that you don't already know. Suprise he likes her and thinks she is fearless. I will repeat do not waste your money. Veronica Roth should be ashamed of herself for trying to make money off this.

Fabulous four

The chapter that veronica roth chose was a absolutely perfect choice. I am glad that it wasn't a scene when four and tris were together, because we knew he liked her then, but here you get to see how he felt about her! Only thing i don't like about it is that it is too short; thirteen pages. Any divergent/insurgent fan must read!

The chapter was great!

I don't know why everyone is complaining about this only being a Chapter long. Veronica Roth clearly stated on her website that it was ONE scene and therefore ONE chapter. If you didn't read that then it's your fault. You purchased the .99¿ chapter and you shouldn't be complaining when that's what you should've known/got. The one chapter was wonderful and did give you an excelent different perspective.

99 Cents for Six Pages.....

There are only about six pages of new writing in this book. The rest is text taken directly from the other books. I wish I could have a refund! Also, I didn't feel that I learned anything new about Tobias. The author needs to trust that the reader can make those inferences about him on his or her own.

Disappointed!

I have to agree that this was disappointing. I think rather than rewriting a chapter narrated by four i would rather have had a short story about fours journey. Or at least a " few" chapters narrated by four. I think if i knew it was only going to be a few pages i may not have bought it, unless of course she's just giving us a taste and she's going to rewrite the whole book narrated by four. :)

Doesnt deliver what it promises

At the begining of the book veronica states that this will give us insight into four. In the overview it says it reveals fascnating details about Four's character. I learned nothing new about him. If she wanted us to understand him more this book could have included scenes from his own initiation or before he chose to transfer to dauntless. If she had done that then this scene could have been the final chapter in the book.

I read that the reason she only did one scene is because it was difficult to write and make sure it matched up perfectly with the scene in divergent. If the book was focused more on how/why Tobias became four the bookmwould have been better.

So Short

This thing is literally one small chapter long. The bulk of it is the first two chapters from the Divergent and Insurgent books that you probably have read already if you were interested in this. If this thing was free I wouldnt be complaining but totally feel ripped off. Lame.
