The government provides assistance through benefit programs that serve various important purposes, such as job training, nutritional assistance, education, health care and other needs.
In order to receive government assistance you must complete an application and meet specific eligibility requirements as outlined by each program.
Not all assistance programs provide cash payments. Assistance programs that provide payments may have conditions and limitations. About the Author

A brief bio of John Milton Lawrence, he was born in Harlem, New York to John Milton Lawrence Sr. and Chlora Lawrence, from Brevard, North Carolina, the eldest of six children, John Milton was a good student in school, though he was considered very shy and introverted. In his early teens his parents divorced, and though he never verbally admitted it, he was devastated. When his mother moved him and the rest of his siblings into the Bland housing projects in Queens NY, he just drifted from dead end job to dead end job. He met Christina Nell, who became his teenage bride, and they became young parents at age 17 and struggled to make ends meet. Things got so bad, that they had to move into his brother in-laws attic, until a chance opportunity came along to earn some real money, but it entailed having to speak in public, and for a shy guy this was as painful as pulling teeth, but despite his fears he did it and it literally changed his life. He became a products Pitchman, who worked along side Chef Tony Nataro, of Infomercial fame, he sold "as seen on TV products," like the Miracle slicer and Ginsu knives, he worked all over the country, selling to crowds of people, as he honed his craft in selling and public speaking. He decided to move to California in 1996 to work in the entertainment Industry, he worked for his brother, Comedian, Martin Lawrence at Martin's production company Runteldat, first as a personal assistant to Martin, then in script development. John Milton also worked on the Fox network hit show Martin, where John Milton, made his acting debut, on one episode of the Martin show, titled, "SCROOGED." Milton also worked on various Movies such as Nothing to Lose, Blue Streak and Rebound, John Milton, formed his own company Info Nation Publications, and has since written and published thirteen books, John Milton Lawrence is a sales expert/author/publisher and founder of the "Product Demonstrators Worshop," he resides in sunny southern California, with his wife Tina, son Jihad and grand daughter, Kaylee Juliana.
