Overview

When your mind is a weapon, freedom comes at a price.

Four months have passed since Kira left home to join Julian’s Jacker Freedom Alliance, but the hole in her heart still whistles empty where her boyfriend Raf used to be. She fills it with weapons training, JFA patrols, and an obsessive hunt for FBI agent Kestrel, ignoring Julian’s worries about her safety and repeated attempts to recruit her for his revolutionary chat-casts. When anti-jacker politician Vellus surrounds Jackertown with the National Guard, Kira discovers there’s more to Julian’s concerns than she knew, but she’s forced to take on a mission that neither want and that might be her last: assassinating Senator Vellus before he can snuff out Julian’s revolution and the jackers she’s come to love.

“Quinn paints a picture of a not-too-distant America where politicians inflame the hatred of one section of the populace for another—all for their own gain—and you worry that her world is not so far off from our own.”
— Dianne Salerni, author of We Hear the Dead, The Caged Graves, and the forthcoming The Eighth Day

"Free Souls starts with a bang and doesn't let up. It blends nonstop action, nail-biting escapes, and great romance. I absolutely loved it! A great series conclusion—a must-read."
— Leigh Talbert Moore, author of Rouge and The Truth About Faking

There is some serious action going on in this, the last book of the Mindjack Trilogy. Things have gone from bad to worse for Kira and all mindjackers. The government wants every mindjacker locked up and the general population of mindreaders agrees. The government doesn't look at mindjackers as people, they only see them as a threat. Kira is more unsure of herself and her decisions and she struggles with what needs to be done. There are many, many twists in this book that I never saw soming. The ending was well thought out and amazing. I wasn't sure how everything was going to tire in together but the author did an awesome job. Love the book......loved the series. I am looking forward to reading more books from this author.

    AMAZING TRILOGY!!

ALL THREE books were amazing! Usually in a trilogy, one or two of the books are "mesh" and then the story starts to lose its spark... but not the case with this book series...i loved all tree books..one never better than the other, just completely enthralled in the story, characters the writing... never a lull in the stories always captivating, always left me wanting more! Over the past six months, starting with The Hunger Games, i have been drawn to the dystopian world and read over twenty different books including trilogies. While i have come across some good ones, and am still anxxiously awaiting the sequels... this mind jacker series has blown me away. I cannot stress enough how this story always held my interest.such an original story line creating a whole new world, languafge...there was literally never a dull moment..never a point when i wanted to skip ahead or wished the story would just get on with it... i enjoyed every aspect of her writing...only wishing and wanting more of it. More detail, more twists, another book! The only downside if u can even call it that, is that i wished she brought Simon back around in some way on the later novels... he was so significant to Kiras fate yet once he was gone in book one, he was pretty much gone never to be heard of or mentioned again, not even as a memory. I think Simon should have always been in kiras awareness throughout. Also, Raf and Kira never did anything for me. By the time they were together as a couple, Julian was quickly introduced and their was an immediate draw and desire for the two of them to become more..which they did..thank goodness! Raf wasnt strong enough a character for Kira. Their love didnt have a chance to become a reality to the reader, he was in and out so quick..knocked out..missing..scribed ...etc., ,more often then not.. but this was ultimately a good thing for Julian and Kira so their relationship could grow and evolve. But once Raf or Simon were out...they were out. Too bad Simon and Raf didnt leave more of an impact or legacy throughout. No real closure for both Sinmon or Raf. Nonetheless.... fantastic story, would recommend to anyone with an interest in the dystopian world... much much better then hunger games, Legend, matched, Variant, Divergent, etc...u get my opinion. Thank you Susan for a fantastic read!
