This is truly the best book out there. Having a child w/ 'mild' OCD and not your typical symptoms, it has been a G-Dsend. I even recommended the book to our childs therapist and she loves it. Some of the OCD books are focused on severe symptoms and lead you to nowhere. This offers practical advice that alleviates many fears, both for the parent and the child. Buy this book above all others.

This book was very reassuring that we could help our child. Parents rely on their own history to advise and guide their children, but most have no experience with OCD so our own fears are fueling the fire. This books gives concrete advice how to set limits, speak to your child, recognize and address the behavior without getting pulled into it. It may be a chronic condition, but with recognition comes relief that there is a path forward and happiness for your child. I highly recommend this book.

In our OCD support group we frequently have parents come who are concerned about working well with their children. I always recommend that they buy this book.
