Jane Hardy Miller was born and raised in California, where she eventually attended college and law school. Her mother, a home economics teacher, taught her to sew by hand and machine, beginning at age five. Jane made her first quilt in 1968, and for the next ten years, she made about one per year, inventing techniques as she went along. She practiced law briefly in Hawaii and California before moving to Miami in 1979, where she married, had two children, and finally took a beginning quilting class. She has been working and teaching in a local quilt shop since 1987.

I loved the previous books and teaching out of them, this is a great twist on the classic. Like her other two books, the instructions are clear and easy to understand. I really like how she has difficult quilts as well as simple ones. I am already started on the "Wave". I liked the movement and the different border. I highly recommend this book as well as her others.
French Braid Transformation by Jane Hardy Miller is a book where quilts are easier for beginners to make as well with little patience and by reading and following her directions one at a time. The book uses all the scraps that has been lying around in your stash to create a stunning quilt. I love the look of the quilt you can achieve by using all the scraps.
