Adam really enjoys

For the next few weeks all Lilith has to do is run the prestigious East Haven Resorts while her best friend Sarah is on her honeymoon. No big deal, except it means she'll be dealing directly with the head chef Adam, who is not only cocky, arrogant, and French, but damn sexy to boot. This was going to be the longest two weeks of her life.
Adam really enjoys seeing Lilith riled up and flustered. Actually, it's what gets him out of bed every morning. But, when someone else is threatening to sweep in and take her away, he realizes it's time to stop playing games and go after what he wants.

This is the second book from the Silver Cove series, although each book could be read as a stand alone book. My question would be why would you want to do that? Each book follows a different set of community members as their story unfolds and touches back on other characters. As the stories progress you see further development of the characters as they become more fully understood. If you liked the Cedar Cove or Fools Gold series from other authors or this author's Grayton series, then you will for sure want to read this series too. French Kiss follows the story of Lilith and Adam. She's hiding a secret past and has trust issues a mile wide while he has a reputation as a ladies man and a volatile personality, but really what else would you expect from a French chef? Perhaps, all isn't what it seems on the surface though. While their story unfolds it is woven in with a robbery and a stalker which keeps things quite interesting. I personally loved how the author wove the mystery into the story without it being obvious. I can't wait for my next visit to Silver Cove! I'm so thrilled that I was selected to read this book for an honest review as its a much more enjoyable task when you truly like the book!
Adam has wanted Lilly since he met her. He liked to see her riled up. Lilly doesn't understand why Adam is always making her mad. While Sarah is on her honeymoon, Lilly is in charge of the inn. She and Adam are getting closer, but there is someone who doesn't like it. To top it off, a large family group decided to stay at the inn several days longer and she has to contend with a jealous woman. This woman is sure that Lilly is after her boyfriend. Then she gets a call from a private detective, who tells her that her mother is looking for her. She ran away from her mother and abusive step-father years before and wants nothing to do with her mother now. Her mother allowed the abuse to continue. Lilly has changed her name and wants the past to stay in the past. Adam wants to spend the rest of his life with Lilly and to protect her from all harm. Will he be able to do that?
