My wife has two rules about cookbooks. First, they have to include nutritional information. Second, the rule of three. The book has to include at least three recipes I am committed to try. This book does both. The included nutritional information reveals a new style of chinese cooking - low fat, moderate sodium, healthy food. Following the second rule reveals that the recipes are tasty, too. So far I am up to five, tried. All of them have been good to very good. I particularly recommend "Mussels with basil and black bean sauce" (pg 94) and "Poached scallops with wasabi dressing" (pg 96). And I cannot forget the "Chandoori chicken" (pg 62). That works well in the oven, but I am waiting for warmer weather to try her suggestion of cooking it on the grill. Dang it. My mouth is watering now.
